Hello, just wanted to know if other people have been experiencing the same thing.
In the past year or so while I was smoking cigarettes I had chest pains almost every day. Some days worse than others, but most of the time pretty low.

Now that I have started using my e-cig again ( for 1 week now) I still have chest pains and I would even say it's worse than with normal cigs.

Now that being said, 1 and a half year ago when I went a full 2 months on my ecig I didn't get these, but I didn't get chest pains from using normal cigarettes at that time either. I used to smoke a lot less, then what I started to smoke in the last year.

Could this be from cigarrete withdrawal? Or might it be because of old liquids/old attys? Or is there something else, like vg or pg allergy?(I don't get red spots or irritation though). I do find the throat hit on my ecig to be pretty intense right now, which wasn't the case a year and a half ago while using the same liquid and atty.

On a positive note though, I smell/taste better, don't cough as much in the morning and I don't have to spit constantly when I wake up... and that is just 1 week in.

I had the same problem lately. I got burned at work and went to the Dr.'s and he told me I was dehydrated. So I have been slammin some water and guess what went away. I never told him about the chest pain. I noticed when he was examining my arm. I guess drink alot of water really means drink alot of water lol.

Smoking is one of the leading causes of angina, which is what the chest pains being described here sound like to my nondoctor ears. Angina is usually relatively harmless, but is correlated with heart disease. It happens when the heart has been underoxygenated and tissue damage has resulted.

The chest pains are caused by angina can be triggered by exertion, dehydration, and things that constrict blood vessels (such as nicotine) among other things. There is also a kind, called "unstable angina," where the pains can happen at random with no trigger. This is more rare, but also more serious, and you should see a doctor if you have this.

There are medications to relieve the chest pains, so seeing a doctor might be worthwhile anyway.

Little update, used lower concentrations of nicotine, more vg and have had allot of water. Chest pains seem to be going away slowly. I also realized that although I do have chest pains, the major part of the pain is coming from my throat. Seems as if it's irritated. Lot less worse, and allot less coughing since I started the changes.

Vaping is very dehydrating drinking a ton of water is so important

I can smoke a lot of analogs or chain-snus throughout the day and I feel pretty great. If I vape or use 4mg Nicorette all day at (approximately) the same level, I always get a tight feeling in my chest and feel more anxious. I have to really watch the vaping, or use low nicotine liquid to avoid this. I'm probably more of an exception than the norm, but I've observed these effects in my system fairly consistently. Straight nicotine without the other goodies seems to have a larger impact on me for whatever reason.

Like I said, I'm probably on the fringe here, as most people seem to do very well (and certainly much better than analogs) on e-cigs. I once knew a guy who would have a massive panic attack if he smoked even one cigarette, so everybody responds differently.
