Doesn't Chinese New Year come around every year ??

Cant vendors plan ahead and stock up a bit more on popular items ??

I know most e-cig suppliers are small businesses or even one person shows, but C'mon.

If you are going to venture into the business world you have to lay out some capital and get some stock on the shelves. I ran a small business for 27 years and this "blame it on Chinese New Year" crap wouldn't fly in my industry!!

The only thing saving customers from running elsewhere is EVERYONE is always out of stock in this wonderful vaping world.

I've never found it so hard to spend money on anything else ever in my life.
Someone please take my money and ship me what I want !!

Before some smart ... chimes in and tells me I should have stocked up .....
I've tried.... trust me. When I go looking for 100 of a specific item I have to buy 5 here and 7 somewhere else....

Some one needs to open the GD Wallmart of the vaping world ... or at least K-mart :)

Maybe if we can get Tom Cruise in on it he could bankroll the operation !!

< end rant!

They started getting backlogged a month before the Spring festival this year. I had my orders in, and must have been damn close to shipping, and BOOM: china shut down.

Technology is progressing rather quickly in this business. Too offer the best products, you can't have old out dated ones still on your shelf. Sure, there are a lot of people peddling the same ole crap, but not everyone wants to do that. Constantly searching for something better. It depends how you want to do business. Place a HUGE stock order, and hope something better doesn't come out, or keep a "reasonable" amount on hand. Case in point is the Ego kits i have been buying: they are not longer making 650 mah batteries, and all kits come with 900mah. Price is the same now, and I get to provide an even bigger battery for the same crazy cheap price 8)

With the FDA getting nutz, It really makes you shiver when you place an order over 5 grand. There was a new article where one company claimed 60k worth of products seized by the FDA. Lot of suppliers try to place lots of little orders so they pass through customs easy. The FDA is why we are all not investing more into stock or the business in general. They will sieze your order right now, and there is nothing you can do about it.

^^^ I understand about outdated stock, good point.

But Boge 510 cartomizers aren't going anywhere soon .... I hope. I've discovered the 2Ω are great and in the last month I had to order from 3 different places just to supply me.

Some of the problem is I am sometimes looking for "whats hot at the moment" so that doesn't help.

As Stownz says, the FDA are doing an excellent job of shutting down the industry as best they can.

In effect, all stock available for sale in the US is smuggled in (except for NJoy and SE, who have court approval). You're dealing with a blackmarket industry, which explains the stock shortages. In fact it's amazing that prices are so low, considering. How would you like a $10k import consignment seized - several times?

In practice only NJoy and SE have 'permission' to trade in the US at present. Until the industry gets together and presents a united front in court against the FDA attack, that situation will continue.

Your only avenue of relief is to vote for people who don't take money from the pharmaceutical industry and will actively work to stop others doing so.
