Sitting down, facing forward.
We had blueberry pancakes for breakfast, our own blueberries, of course. While I enjoyed them, I was thinking about the garden conversation and how much work it really is. The rewards are worth it though! The advantage of the blueberries is all I had to do was build a "cage" to keep the birdies out and run a variable drip head to each bush, then pick. No where nearly as much work as tomatoes, cukes, squash, beans and all the rest. Maybe I'll do the same setup for some raspberries.

Hey, we have been working out butts off fixing stuff and getting set up. I got firewood so we had to cut kindling and and gather small branches in the woods, fill the inside log rack with wood, change the dryer plug from a 3 prong to a 4 prong. The outside water faucet leaks and BF can't find the outside water shutoff to replace the faucet and the washing machine water valves inside leak (cold one) and can't fix that until he can shut off the water to the house, we have to change the dead bolts, put up 3 veneesion (sp) blinds, and the list goes on so I won't be on much for awhile. Still haven't peeked at my thread. I'm really sorry about that but we are on a deadline and need to get these things fixed now. The water problem has to wait until tomorrow when the water company is open so we can find out where the shutoff is.

It was 23 degrees @ 7am this morning...brrrrr! We have a nice fire going though. We have some more shopping to do today so I'll check in later.

I love this house despite the problems. :)

I have Hubby convinced to change over part of the veggie garden to raspberries and thornless blackberries. Let's hope it sticks. I've told him several times that I am not doing as much in the veggie garden next year when it comes to high maintenance plants like peas and beans.

I bought cell data for my iPad so I can now type a little easier but I only have 1gb that has to last me 3 months. Don't know how fast I'll use that up on the forum.

I'm going to peek at my thread in the morning at a decent hour. Going back to bed now. :)

Stay out of YouTube and avoid video in general (so yeah, no Netflix and not even the links posted here. :( ). Also, minimize graphics. Those bytes add up FAST! When I was on a similar plan (and will be again soon), I was spending a lot of time at the library to get free wifi and only came here or checked my email to limit usage.

Hey Folks!

Another country heard from, right? I've been hanging out with my BF this weekend, but he's been sick. So, I've been playing nurse. Wish I could be in two places at once and helping Terry get settled as well. :( So, not much going on here. It was 20 degrees when I woke up this morning at my normal 5 a.m. But since we quit Daylight Savings Time, it had changed to 4 a.m. This is going to take some adjustment. I just can't be getting up at 4 a.m. every day! Time to force myself to sleep in a bit. I've been running on a deficit for a couple of weeks now. Eventually sumthin's gotta give and I'll get some sleep. Time to wake up the sick one and get some nourishment into him.

I hope BF feels better soon. Yes, Rave, you need enough sleep so you don't get sick, too. Take care of yourself.

Good morning, Voltpeeps. :)

Raven, you are an angel, taking care of your sick boyfriend.

Terry, all settled in and enjoying your new country castle, you have to give it a name !!!!!

Sandy, that looks like a "widow's walk" on the tower of that old house. Why does a house that's nowhere near the ocean or the great lakes, have a widow's walk? Strange !!

Wuzz, I hope Mrs. Wuzz is feeling better. :)

That was my thought when I looked at it Jerry. Could be someone moved there from a harbor town and just wanted an observation deck. Bet there's a nice view from it.

DW is having a rough time. She wants to come home and is feeling a lot better but her Pulmnologist says at least one more day. She really had a case of it this time.
