You're right on the money, Lizzie. We got these last night. The first one is the one we hope to adopt and the second is the female pup.

You mean you got the pictures? Not that you are fostering the girl.

I know, 3mg, and that does bother us both. We'd love to take all three, but not enough room, or money for vet bills, for that.
Do not let it bother you too much, because the one you take will bond to you and your wife quickly :) Throughout my life I have felt bad every time I have gotten a puppy, kitten, and even chickens and ducks; but they always bond quickly to us, or in the case of the chickens and ducks, they bond to another animal. You will give that puppy a wonderful home full of love and joy.

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

We actually had a good water cooperative meeting. I am so thrilled.

I have to pull it together and start being a good treasurer. Ugh, I am not a great treasurer. I wish I were.

Going to go see a friend and then off to the water office and to the bank. Wish me luck.

Good luck with the water office, Lizzie. Glad to hear you're seeing some progress/improvement with the co-op.

It feels more like mid July or August here. It's almost 90 already and the humidity is oppressive. I've been working outside, a little anyway, each day and it has made a difference, both outside and when I get on the scale. I've cut out the afternoon snacks and am controlling portions a lot more carefully as well. I do need to lose some weight to give my back and legs a little break.

He is adorable. When you just have one dog, they are so much more attuned to you.

On the other hand, Cash is such a busy little terrier that I am grateful Sassy the big girl loves playing with him! And, he doesn't miss us too much when we are gone although he is very happy when we come home:)

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

It would seem that I have slept in a bit today so I have to pull it together and get moving! Yes, I have a house to clean today.

Obie the goat has been sick. We think maybe congestive heart failure since he seems to be holding a lot of fluids in his chest area. I really thought the old guy was on his way out a few days ago but now he is up and eating. He doesn't look great but he is feeling better. He doesn't seem to be suffering. We will see how it goes. Obie is pretty old for a goat at 10 years.

Have you thought about putting those goats to use, other than as organic garbage disposal units? Like milk?

Sorry to hear about Obie, Lizzy. Given his name I don't think you'd want to try milking him though

I was up at oh dark thirty and have the laundry done and am fooling with the video cameras. Since I'm switching cable providers I got a new WiFi router and modem which will actually be able to control things like IP address ranges and ports for a change. I set up the router the other day and have been using it for everything wireless in the house with no problems. I just need to schedule Comtrash to make the cable drop hot. In my explorations for alternatives to cable TV I see that PlayStation offers streaming video with a package of 100 channels. Unfortunately, the cost of that combined with the cost of internet service is right there with the with the cost of cable in the first place. Funny how that works

We're starting to think of names for the puppy. So far Bogart and Leonidas are on our little list. The problem with Bogart is that the nickname could too easily end up Bo and there's only one Bo. Guess we could use Bogie for his nickname though. I like Leonidas, son of lions, Leo for a nickname and a real life, key figure, in the Battle of Thermopylae.

Don't give up on him. Us old goats are tougher than you think.
