That is one kid with a SERIOUS lack of respect for his elders! I had enough of him about 15 seconds into the conversation!! How on earth could his parents let him get away with that? They'll regret it when he's a teenager. Just sayin'. :grr:

That was my first reaction too, but then I read the back-story. Then I thought what a tool his dad must be (who he must've learned it from), and that they probably shouldn't be arguing in front of a precocious 3-yr-old. But yeah, I woulda smacked him after the first "Linda Honey."

So, Lizzie, the lesson? Did he try to run away from the cart, or did he do perfectly? I am going to sit here and watch until you post the report. I am in total suspense!!

Sorry, Zero, but my ten minute break is over and now I have to go out and rake and burn. I'll be back later in the afternoon to tell my horse tale.

A close up of a spider on the camera would be a nightmare to me. Ackk, I really hate spiders. They are so scary and evil looking. Especially black widows.

Good morning peeps. I'll have to stop by later and tell you how it went with Nevada. I'll give you a hint "YeeHaww" we are going to the rodeo.

34 degrees this morning. Loving it. I really must get a few things done today.

Penguins are kind of snotty in a sweet way, don't you think. He's probably saying "Where's the pizza you promised me?"
Or he's like "You ingrate! You ate all the anchovies on my pizza! Take that!"

Sandy...I got my white gel pen today and tested it on dark blended graphite and very black charcoal and it came out white white. No yellowing at all. I've finally found my answer. :toast:

I got the uni-ball Signo broad. I want to get the thin one to but after trying a thin one in the store I was a little disappointed because it wasn't as opaque and it started to run out of ink even though it was full. This was a Gelly Roll pen so hopefully the Uni-ball pen will be better if I can ever find one.

Rave, what software are you using for your cameras? I'm using Blue Iris and it's pretty flexible with a web server, SMS/FTP/yadayada. The motion detection section is pretty complex as well with contrast adjustments, target size adjustments, hot zones, multiple detection profiles for each camera and scheduling. By the time I get through playing with everything and getting it "just so" it'll probably be time to replace the camera.

The bugs aren't out here, yet, but I can see dust, or whatever, blowing around at night. Snow and rain both drive it nuts at night. They show up so well under IR and basically cut the view to useless.

My systems are comparatively simple, and I'm guessing, a whoooole lot cheaper than yours. I've got Bunker Hill Security systems with multiple cameras. Those are the ones that give me audio/video capability and IR; but not recording. So, I can hear a car coming down the driveway, critters (or humans) walking along the trails, or see who's at the door. Most of those are for use when I'm at my desk. Coupled with motion detection alarms, I don't get any surprises and know who's moving around my house. I have another of those for monitoring from the bedroom at night and generally hear things before I see them. I have other cameras as well, but haven't hooked them up with a switcher yet. It's amazing what you can get for virtually nothing at Goodwill or far less than retail on eBay.

My BF gave me another system with four cameras. It ain't cheap but it probably is compared to yours. It's a Swann. But it has the split screen capability, motion detection, IR, and a whole laundry list of adjustments and picture refinement capabilities. It came with it's own software. Those are the cameras that record on the switcher DVR, which is why they have no audio.

For added security, I have alarms on every door and window, the TrailCams, and the deck is wired to shock. It's not that I'm paranoid - just cautious. I live in the middle of a forest with no neighbors in sight.

It's funny, but the TrailCams that I have do the very best job of catching anything moving other than snow and rain. Don't know how they do it so well!

Your deck better not shock me. I plan to spend some time there. :glare:

    Sitting down, facing forward.
The camera wasn't all that expensive. I looked at the systems with multi cameras and DVRs, read some reviews, looked at them at Costco and decided they didn't have enough resolution for what I wanted. I shopped it on Amazon and, after buying a less expensive one with lower resolution that didn't work right and got no support for, swapped it for the next step up, in the price department. I did want to stick with IP cameras so I can watch them from my desktop, laptop or tablet. I will be adding another camera next month to watch the telephone pole across the street. Somebody keeps stealing the ground wire from it and that pole/transformer, feed our house which makes our house ground the closest ground in terms of lightning strikes.

Blue Iris has a freeware version if you have IP cameras and want to give it a try. It'll handle up to 64 cameras but that's in the pay version, under forty bucks.

It just started snowing. It's been gray with a damp cold most of the day, so I'm not surprised. No accumulation is mentioned in the weather forecast, so I doubt it'll be more than a dusting.

I'm usually pretty accepting of whatever weather we get, but this year, I'm really eager to see spring. I think it's because it was such a cold winter.

Bummer! At least it's just a dusting. We didn't get the sun we were expecting. Just another gray day but no rain. :nun:

It got nice here today and is supposed to warm up tomorrow and Saturday. Sunday is showers and colder and now a nor'easter is predicted for Tuesday into Wednesday with temperatures cold enough to make sure it arrives, and leaves, as snow. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!

It says we'll get about an inch of snow on Tuesday. Rain off and on till then. It's not unusual to have snow here even in April. I remember one year, we had a dusting on Easter Sunday. By May, we should be finished with snow, but someone who lived in this area all her life said once she saw it snow in June!

They still make Gelly Roll? Jeez I haven't seen one in so long! I remember in fifth grade whaen gel pens were all the rage. I hated Gelly Roll because we couldn't draw on each other with all the pretty colors.:glare: I saved my B-day money and bought some of the more expensive brand og gel pens just so they wouldn't dry up when writing notes or drawing on my friends. Later on I just used Sharpies. Anybody remember the kids coloring their fingernails with markers? I was one 'cause my Mama wouldn't let me get black fingernail polish. :p
