Hey Jerry. Seems everybody is busy today. I should be but don't feel like it.

Hi Voltie people! I have been in super lurking mode, so much anxiety lately.
My youngest son, my baby (23) lol, was sent to England by his employer, to help them get all their software ducks in a row. I am soo proud of him, he has only been working for about a year, fresh out of college. Anyway, he didn't have much time to get a passport and get ready to go. I am not a fan of flying and with all the news lately, I've been sort of holding my breath. He is home now, whew, I slept like a baby last night! I know my worrying doesn't do anything but make me feel crappy, but I just could not get a grip! Anxiety sucks.
Sorry to everyone, I haven't even been clicking like, even though you all have posted some great stuff!
out of us.

but is the only white deer spotted here.
I found some deer pics that I took at my old place and at BF's place.
This one I took from my patio. The deer were in the apple tree stand.

Those are some antlers on those deer! For some strange reason, I rarely see antlers on our deer, and when I do, they aren't so big as that. I wonder why.
That deer is definitely not an albino. He's got brown spots. I think it's the same genetic configuration as the Seneca white deer, but expressed differently. I was reading up on it, and they called these deer piebald. In horses, piebald is one name for a pinto (I always thought it was a black-and-white pinto), but I think with the deer, they use it for any deer that has white but also some pigment. I'm not sure if the term is official or just what people call them.
OK, here's the definition of piebald. Yes, it is black-and-white spots, though there are other more general uses of the term. Piebald - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary
I learned that skewbald was the name for a brown-and-white pinto horse, so the deer is probably more correctly a skewbald. See Skewbald - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary
Gorgeous! You take some really good photos! You should post some more often.

I'll see your sailboat and raise you one.

This was taken during the Wooden Boat Festival in my home town. They have a mock shoot out almost every year.
