I have a no-name that I think I picked up at wal-mart- impulse purchase and very inexpensive. It is about 4 1/2 inches long, and the battery compartment is one inch in diameter. The light end of it is 1 1/4 inch in diameter. Three AAA batteries fit into a battery cartridge. It has 14 LED's. Nice and bright.

Well The reason I am asking is because I bought a couple little ones from Sears and they eat batteries and the lights have pretty much died in one and mostly in another. :glare: I am wondering if I just go to walmart I might find one there.

One option for things that eat batteries is to get a battery charger and rechargeable batteries. I did this for my old camera. It saves a lot of money in the long run.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Celt, if you want a really good one, try a Maglite. They are pricey but are excellent flashlights. A lot of them use 18650 lithium batteries, which is kind of handy except that they need to be "protected" batteries while, normally, vaping batteries are "unprotected". "Protected, in this case, means an internal circuit to limit current.

Does anybody have a good recommendation for an LED flashlight? Three requirements.. Must take D or C Batteries, good battery usage, and very bright. :)

I've had one of these Amazon.com: Smith and Wesson Galaxy Elite 2 AA CREE Tactical Flashlight: Sports & Outdoors for over three years and it is indeed very bright at 150 lumens. I buy the Eveready Lithum batteries. They cost a little more but outlast alkalines by about three times. My next one will be one that takes 18650 IMR batteries since I'm already set up for it with my mod batteries. Probably an Ultra Fire.

I'll 2nd that about the lithium batts. I use them in my digital camera and they last a very long time. Pricey yes but not in the long run.

I've got through 2 storms today. Expecting another one later tonight. Schools are letting out tomorrow at 12:00. Expecting severe weather tomorrow, and I have all my batteries charged and a supply of batteries to last me over 2 weeks without charging. :) I won't let a tornado stop me from vaping again. :)

It was a good day, Evie, but I fear that I may be losing a friend, someone who I met on the forum. We spent a lot of time together on the internet and considered each other real world friends, but she is drifting away from me. That makes me sad. :(

I'm sorry Papa. I'm here if you'd like to talk about it. I don't know the situation but I know your a good person and perhaps things will work out so you can keep your friend. :)
