Day one of six busy days in a row, done! Five to go. Cleaning that house whipped me. Good thing I bought a frozen pizza while I was at the store.

While I was in town, I met a girl who sold me an old Mason jar she listed on Craig's list for $5.

a quart canning jar, Lizzie? The old type, with the glass lid and the rubber gasket? I threw out cases of those about 15 years ago. I still have a few around, that I use to store nails and screws in.

Yes it has a glass lid and a metal ring to hold the lid on with. It says LAMB MASON on the side.

I have 3 art deco style canning jars someone gave me years ago for my birthday. I have a couple more that are turning purple.

I will have to check the ones that I saved and see what's written on the side. They were my mother's canning jars, that she used in the 1950s.

Edit: Mine say Ball I deal on the side.

I love that. No hauling out the tent or setting up the cooking area. Just pull up, pull out a few drawers and camp!!!!

What I wondered was how hard it is to fold everything up when you want to get on the road again. I can just picture that awning not fitting back in its compartment because I didn't fold it right. This from someone who can't neatly fold a fitted sheet. And how hard is it to hook up to the tow vehicle? I'm thinking the electric that goes from the vehicles's brakes and taillights must have special protection to withstand all that water, so maybe getting that seal tight is a challenge. These are definitely things I'd ask the dealer if I were thinking of buying one.

Another thing is that setup of a lot of it is outdoors, so till you get the awning up, how wet with rain do you get? With our travel trailer, all we had to do was run from the truck to the door of the trailer. Everything was set up inside. No assembly required.

Still, its ability to go over such rough terrain is a plus, if you'll be driving in the Outback. Negotiating some of that terrain was mind boggling. The fold-up solar panels are a nice feature, too.

It saves a lot of space on the inside to have the kitchen on the outside. Remember that a lot of Australia is desert or near-desert.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I'll still call room service. No set-up or take-down required and the only way I'll get wet is in the shower or in the pool.

I saw another one, a week or two ago, on the Internet, that was based on a Mercedes turbo-diesel four wheel drive four wheel drive heavy truck chassis and had a trailer. When the "going got tough" you could add drive to the trailer wheels and have a six-by-six. Some guy, with a lot of bucks, had it built for his daughter. If I can find it again I'll post a link,

If you want to see how I camp just watch any old cowboy movie. Bedroll, .22 rifle, can of beanz, can of Vienna sausages, coffee and mess kit. I use a pocket knife and flint to start my fire. If I want meat I'd better shoot something. If not it's wild vegetation and vienna sausage. The woods are full of food.
