Thanks. I'm waiting on paperwork and a definite closing date. I need to know the definite closing date so I know when to pick up the rental truck. If I get there too early and we don't sign for a few days then I could miss the deadline for returning the truck and that would cost me $100 per day late fee.
Hi, Princess. I'm late, I know, but I was on the phone with a certain young lady.![]()
There, now I feel better. What's the hold up? From application to closing shouldn't take more than 2 weeks unless the bank couldn't get the evaluation done in a timely manner or the title search has problems. Is this just a normal home loan or is it a specialized loan?

It's an FHA loan with a new program that pays for my down payment. It's called First Home and it's brand new so my lender didn't know anything about it. I'm the guinea pig and she's been learning as we go. I'm dealing with the government and that's why it has been such a nightmare. If I could have gone conventional I'd be moved by now.
Let's hope that Terry is able to move in, before the snow flies !!!!!Okay FHA loans are a nightmare, the government doesn't move at all. When you get a closing date DON'T expect it to go through yet. I've seen some FHA loans take 3 months. The client would get within 3 days of a closing and then the government would say they needed something else.
Yes practice patience.![]()

When you "turn" Celtic, you will be able to see the Veterans Forum. It's in the same area as the Supporting Members Forum, on the main page.

Patience is not in my vocabulary. What little patience I had was lost a month ago.
