Good morning, Voltpeeps,

It is above freezing here this morning but still fairly cold at 35 degrees. We have a toasty fire in the woodstove. I have to clean a house and stop by the grocery store for a couple of items.

I went out to check on Nevada and Wiseguy in the dark last night. When I shined a flashlight into the pen, I saw that the two little guys were .... to .... laying down together. So cute!!!

We had a nasty day of cool/cold rain and wind yesterday, but it's sunny today. It's still on the cool side, 51 right now, and the wind makes it feel a lot cooler. If things dry out today I have to get the mower going and harvest the crop of leaves the storm left for me.

Terry, I'm glad it wasn't too bad when you fell but it still sounded bad enough. Hang in there, get some shoes/boots made for grip and you'll be fine on your own "Green Acres".

Good morning, everyone. I'm glad to hear you have sunshine, Awsum. Send some this way, please. It started out raining this morning, but I just looked out the window, and it's snowing. And last week, the poor, misguided forsythia bush in the yard thought it was spring and started blooming!

Generally, Democrats are liberals, Republicans are conservatives. Those who believe that the radical extremes are the way of the devil don't subscribe to either. It appears that the new election voted in many moderate Republicans, agreeing with the Independents. The Tea Party, a radical faction among the Republicans, appears to be dying.

Morning Volties. 33 degrees @ 8am but sunny and 40 now. We both were so tired last night that we went to bed at 10 and slept until 8 so we got plenty of sleep. We still have a few more simple things to do before leaving for Rave's. We want to take a walk in the woods and see if we can find my property line and take some pics. I can't post them from my iPad but maybe Rave can post them for me. Damn I hate being without Internet. (screaming).

Finger's are much better today from the fall. I have better boots that I'll be wearing from now on. This place is starting to look and feel like home.

We've got a cold front moving through. Cold and rainy tomorrow. Bear in mind this is by Florida standards and will be followed by a warm behind. Back in the 80s by Tuesday.

Hey guys. We are at Rave's place. She and her BF are cooking dinner. Tomorrow at the .... crack of dawn I'll take BF to the train station. He'll be back this winter but he is anxious to get home to start building his shop. He has been such a big help fixing things for me but I can take care of the rest of the stuff. I would have been in deep doo doo without him. He'll be missed but it will be nice to have the house to myself for awhile.

We explored my woods today and I took a bunch of pics but I can't post them with my iPad so maybe Rave can post a few for me.

It looks like some of you may get some snow tonight. Is anybody expecting any?

I bet it's nice to take a break from the new house and all the work. I sure hope Rave will show us some of your pictures. We got snow today, but it's stopped now. None on the ground. It'll get warmer as the week progresses, so no more snow for a while, but this is just the beginning. We'll get more sooner or later.

Glad you got the house to the point where you feel you can handle it alone. I don't think I could live out here without Hubby to take care of a lot of stuff that I don't know how or haven't got the strength to accomplish.

Good night, folks. Tonight's photo is from a previous Christmas season (the star on the building) at sunset. I liked the way the smoke and the sky and the star were, so I snapped the picture. The building is the Cargill Salt building in Watkins Glen. There are salt mines in that area adjacent to Seneca Lake.

Good morning roomies. Chilly here so I get to light a small fire in the Franklin. Fireplace was man's first TV lol. We'll be back up to 80 by Tuesday though. It would be an ideal day to work outside if it weren't for the rain. Hope everybody has a great Saturday. I'm planning on it. I was supposed to cook the BBQ dinner DW wanted for her birthday. It got delayed by her hospital stay and now rain.

I've got a feeling if she had an emergency Rave would help her get it taken care of. Bet the new house is looking great. Can't wait to see the pics. We're starting to get serious hits on our property. I may be another neighbor from the looks of what I've seen about the state. Michigan is another possibility. I'd like to be closer to my son.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

Not too bad here. 36 degrees overnight low and warming up fast this morning. We have several not too big of projects to get done today. All involving cutting plywood or string board I want to put some boards up to protect the back door from blowing snow. The lattice doesn't keep the snow out. Also, I have a cabinet that I took out of the guest bedroom. It's press board. I want to put a piece of plywood on the back of it and use it out on the breezeway. That way the dogs won't be able to steal wire brushes and charcoal

Terry, glad you are getting some rest!

Wuzz - Hoping you get your property sold. Moving to a place like Michigan would be a big climate change, don't you think?

I slept in today and shouldn't have. Woke up with a headache, me and extra sleep don't seem to go together anymore. The effects of aging I guess.

It was 30 here this morning but in the mid 50's with lots of bright sun and almost no breeze, let alone wind. I finally got that stump out I was working on and need to get it "reduced" and out to the curb, fill in the hole and throw some grass seed on the bare spot. Then it's time to harvest all those leave that came down in the storm on Thursday/Friday.

Too bad I'm not in Indiana, I'm pretty handy and "have tools, will travel".
