Sitting down, facing forward.
Working on a tower in the rain and wind is no fun at all! Just be careful, huh? Things are slippery when wet  My climbing was always "volunteer" so if the weather wasn't good, no climbing, then again, I wasn't getting paid for it.

Twilight Zone
Happy Easter Volties. Our Son came down for a vacation, got here last night. Found out I'm gonna finally make Grandpaw status in a couple of months. They've had several problems and wanted to wait this long to keep from disappointing us again. I've gotten so absent minded they even let me hide my own Easter eggs this year.

Just An FYI: Since I posted this message in a couple of threads I thought I would post it here too . . .

While some people knew this already, I had asked them to keep it quite and out of the thread until I was ready to mention it to everyone myself . . . More importantly, to be Absolutely Honest - although I know we are very close in this very special "family" thread, I really did not want "My" health issues either to take over this thread with something so personal - nor did I want or feel anyone should be posting the obligatory get well/good vibes/praying for Ya' stuff (AND - VERY important there is NO NEED for anyone to do so now either) . . . Anyway - Just thought I would let people know, over 7 weeks ago I had a Quintuple Bypass Operation that I am now recovering from . . . Also - Now that I am on "My" way to getting back to normal (well normal for 'Me" ) . . . In addition, I'll be going to Outpatient Cardiac Rehab within the next couple of weeks . . . So Yes - I am back on ECF under very limited conditions, especially given that I can barely type with the peripheral neuropathy from Diabetes that has extended into my hands/fingers after the operation . . . I will post again when I can . . .

. I thought maybe he'd feel he was too old to get an Easter basket (he's 12), but I think he was happy with it.

"You" can never be too "Old" for an Easter Basket, just depends on what's in the basket - that is if Ya' know what I mean . . .

When I looked for images today, I saw this one, it reminded me of "someone." :D

Seriously - WHO - would that be . . .

I'm still trying to figure out the significance of the Easter Bunny though and how a rabbit is associated with eggs.

There was a report today on the CBS Sunday Morning Show - It seems the Easter Bunny (aka: "Easter Hare") came from Germany and was brought over by the PA Dutch . . . Lot more information:

The real story of the Easter Bunny:

It was one i uploaded on FB and it almost gave Uncle a stroke! LOL, he almost came here and beat me up.

. . . I may still come out there "YOUNG MAN" ! ! !

Found out I'm gonna finally make Grandpaw status in a couple of months.

CONGRATULATIONS to both "You" & "Wifey" - it couldn't happen to a more wonderful "Man" . . .

I saw that piece on the Easter Bunny, yes this cynical conservative watches CBS Sunday Morning, but the significance of the eggs still escapes me other than being presents for children on Easter. Where that came from, other than Germany, is still somewhat cloudy, at least to me.

Tritium, how 'bout a URL for that video?

Wuzz, how exciting to be a grandpa.

I lol'd on the easter bunny in the coat, qew. Speaking of the devil it was good of Uncle to show up here.

The wind is ripping here and it's fine with me. My new cleaning job is wiping me out. I need to rest instead of working in the yard anyway so let it rain and let 'er rip.

Good evening Volties !!! It's great to see that y'all are still here !!!!!

Uncle, you will be back hopping around in no time. My dad got a quadruple bypass, when he was in his 70s. He's now 94 and still getting around !!!!!

Now that is an inspirational story.

Hi, Jer, nice to see you and Happy Easter.

It's connected with spring, fertility, new life. Rabbits are known for their fertility, and eggs hatch into spring chicks. So, like the Christmas tree, it has little to do with the religious aspect and more to do with the Pagan traditions that Christianity adopted to convert Pagans to Christianity.

I love the Easter Bunny. So cute with his [her?] basket of eggs and candy.

    Good morning Voltpeeps.

Cold at 36 degrees and windy. This is a good day for a day off.

The Hubby decided the puppy needed to go outside at 3:30am so with much loudness and calling, he put the puppy outside. Puppy came back in snuggled up to me and I was trying to go back to sleep. Hubby decided the puppy was missing so he hollered and whistled for the puppy. I guess I'm awake now, darn it.

I finally decide I can go back to sleep at 5:30am but the puppy found stuff to steal off the end table and turned the TV on by accident. Fine, go in your cage.

\Back to laying on the couch with my blankie trying to drift off to sleep when I hear Willie throwing up in the living room. I kicked her out, figured out it was Willie who stole a nectarine off the counter yesterday because she threw up a peach pit, cleaned up that mess and decided more sleep wasn't in the cards. Darn it!

The whole doggie ordeal has left me kind of grumpy and needing a long nap later today.
