Awsum, why would you want to weld zero resistance wire to Kanthal? I don't understand the concept, not of welding, but of using two types of wire. On a coil?

The idea is to limit the resistance strictly to the coil. In other words, replace the "legs" with zero resistance wire and improve efficiency. It may not look critical, on the surface, but you can gain 10 to 20 percent in resistance from the legs. If you look at a Kanger T3 or Protank coil, you'll see a slight bump in the wire just below the coil itself. That's the CD weld to zero resistance wire.

It's not much of a problem in an RBA, no real leads to make the connection, but the positive lead on all of the "popular" deliver devices can be a 1/2" long or so, which adds resistance and wastes heat in the process.

Deb, I found instructions for copy and paste on YouTube. I think this will help you learn to do it. It's almost like having someone stand over you helping you. Of course, if you're watching the video, it'll be hard to do the stuff as he says to unless you have 2 computers. What I do in a situation like this is listen to it, take notes of what I need to remember, and then go try to do it.



Don't be afraid of doing it wrong. If you get stuck somehow, you can always just shut your computer off and then turn it on again and start over. I bet you can get it right the first time and will be as thrilled as you are at putting photos into messages. I have faith in you.

I don't think her problem so much is with cut & paste. I've used the new Internet Explorer at the library, and it's confusing as hell now. Hard to find stuff, like the URL bar, before you can even copy it. And everywhere you go, the layout is different, so it's hard to even talk someone through stuff. Like sometimes it's hidden, sometimes it's at the top, sometimes it's at the bottom...

I guess my computer life is relatively easy -- I have a Mac.

Macs can be a PITA too. But not as much.

My project for today was to reauthor a Korean Drama DVD set for my mom (she didn't like the DVD interface - too much clicking) on dual layer DVDs. Man oh man, I'm surprised I still have any hair left! That was hard!
...learned something new though (got it to work, only 2 coasters), so I'm happy.
