I see everyone is still keeping the Chinese economy running full steam. There is absolutely no way that one of those tanks could be manufactured in the USA at that price. I wish I would have purchased another I-Atty V3 tank. I bought one for Mrs. Wabbit to give to me on my birthday, but I have to wait until then to try it out. They are out of stock at 101 Vape where I originally purchased it, but they are still available at Slow Tech. After I start attempting to build my own coils, I will most likely order another if they work out OK.

Heading to Church, so I'll get back to adventures in Voltville later today.

Good morning, Volties! Coffee is hot and fresh and, judging from the aromas coming from the kitchen, bacon, eggs and bagels will be along in a little while.

Wabbit, rebuilding a coil is not a difficult thing to do. I would suggest a magnifier, something like this, 5X Donegan Accur Site Optical Binocular Visor Magnifying Headset Magnifier Lens | eBay , so you can see what you're doing very clearly. Another "tip" is to "temper" the wire before you wrap a coil by heating it red hot using a butane lighter or torch. I have a small, refillable, butane torch that works hands "hands free" and does a good job since there's no orange in the flame, no carbon left on the wire. If you're going to stay at "normal" resistance ranges 32or 33 gauge Kanthal will work fine for five or six turn coils.

Thanks for the coffee awsum. 30 degrees and I have to get outside to feed. Brrr. Better get used to it, winter is coming.

We got our cedar [which is really a type of juniper] yesterday and we made arrangements to get the horse manure for the garden today. Lots to do and less time to do it!!!!

Yea Awsum, I have everything you mentioned. Picked up a small torch at Lowes for $10 plus some butane and have viewed the videos on making coils. Will have 28 and 32 gauge wire and 400 and 500 mesh stainless to work on coils. I prefer 2 ohms or higher, so I will probably need 5 wraps or more. I am going to start another hobby  My grandson wanted a metal detector for his birthday in December, and Mrs. Wabbit knew I also wanted to get into that hobby, so she bought 2 of the Garrett ACE 250s which were on sale at Kelly Detectors. By December it will probably too cold to go the beach, but my grandson and I can go out together in the spring. I am looking forward to going to the beach after a storm. I have been told that items many times wash up onto the beach after storms from the numerous ship wrecks along the coast. Also a lot of beach goers loose money, rings, watches etc. I just might sell my Kayak in the Spring as I have not used it much this past year.

Later everyone

FiOs was out from about10:30 until 18:15. Talk about going back in time, LOL. It was like the 70's, no TV and no internet. We both almost went into withdrawal.

Wabbit, I meant to mention the number of wraps is, obviously, based on the diameter of the coil. The five or six turns seems to work well for a T3 size coil, YMMV may vary with a stainless wick and it's finished diameter.

I'm in vaping nirvana. I've been fighting with rebuilding CE3s, my mainstay all day every day, and have had some success but never gotten really outstanding performance. Now, being able to CD weld "zero" resistance wire onto the coil, right at the base, the performance, vapor and throat hit are right where I want them. I've been talking with Konstantine about all of it and he provided the advice for exactly what size capacitor and what voltage to start with. He's a really sharp dude! Now, I've got to build a small, variable, regulated power supply to provide some additional flexibility. More toys to play with.

I'm glad to hear Daisy* is getting better. Watch her for infection, though. I'm sorry to hear you're down, and I wish I could raise your spirits. Maybe Wabbit will come up with some jokes for you.

Deb, I'm sorry to hear you're having problems and I hope they get worked out for you. Lurk around, but know we're all "pulling" for you and sending our best thoughts to you.

Good morning, Voltville. Getting ready to brew my second cup, so coffee is available and munchies will follow. I've got to get an appointment with the chiropractor for Mrs. Awsum. She's been living in Egypt, in de Nile, for a while and yesterday her lower bac started giving her fits. I'm hoping the chiropractor can work his magic and get her lined up again.

It was 68 when I got up just before six. This is more like summer than fall but it's supposed to end with a cold front coming through late this afternoon. It'll bring some rain, but we need that. It hasn't rained in almost two weeks although the dew has been heavy enough to make it "rain" with water dripping off the trees. The leaves are starting to turn but it's mostly brown with very little color. I guess the rain and cool temperatures early this summer combined with the heat late in the summer has made the usual fall show a little subdued this year. Makes me wonder what the winter might be like.

I saw a headline on Drudge that said the leaf season might be cancelled as part of the government shutdown. I guess the park service will be going out and picking all the colorful leaves off the trees so we can't look at them, LOL. Ain't government and the officials we elect to it a swell bunch?

Going to the vet? You're not putting her down, I hope. But Zero is right. Trap those feral cats, and keep her inside, but if she gets out again, your chances are better if the feral cats are gone.

Back at everyone this AM. I was just too lazy to post anything last night. I lost a part of one of my fillings, so I have a Dentist appointment at 1:45 today. What fun!

Lots of "commentators" talk about the evils of computers, smart phones and the lack of actual human interaction versus just computer interaction, however having additional friends like the folks in Voltville actually help to enlarge a persons circle of world wide contacts and allow an almost instantaneous outlet and platform on which to unburden some of your frustrations and problems. That will be 5 cents please.

Take vaping for example. How many of us have friends close by that we can chat about vaping face to face? Not Me! I get all of my chit chat about this hobby from you all on ECF. I would never have learned anything about e-cigarettes had it not been for the Internet and ECF and Voltville. I would never have learned that Australia was so hot, or that Indiana had such beautiful streams and wooded glades.

Friends are friends wherever you find them either by the old pen pal method, smart phone method, computer method or face to face.

End of Rant or whatever you want to call it.

Lurking, drinking coffee, and of course vaping.
