Yeah, Eddie is right. He's still hanging in there. He is still in a medicated coma but will squeeze hands when asked to, so slowly but surely he's getting alittle better. And thank you :)

Happy to hear it ;continueing prayers for a full recovery!

How long does it take to fully dry a carto?

Well, typically I don't let them fully dry. I just let them sit 2-3 hours if I boil them out early. If it's late at night (which it is typically), I leave them dry overnight. No idea if they ever get all the way dry but I'm not too concerned if they don't. Some folks will even tell you that they refill easier and last longer if you don't let them dry all the way.

I just tried something and it think it worked pretty well! Took a syringe from our injectable marinade kit and discovered that w/o the needle, the tip was the exact same diameter as the cartomizers we have. So I cut the cap end off of a carto condom and used it like a sleeve to connect the carto and the syringe... then used it to draw and flush vodka through the cartos several times. Carto filler looks nice and white now and smells like vodka. My vodka on the other hand looks more like whiskey!

Do you think I still need to boil them? Or rinse or something?

For me, oven at 250 for around an hour. No hotter -- you don't want the plastic cover on the carto to shrink (I've done that to a few, when I mucked up and went higher). They'll be hot when they come out -- I let them cool, do a quick check, but that tends to work well, fast.

Probably not. Should be just fine. May want to blow them out though.

Sounds very similar to the turkey baster method but that uses boiling water to push through the carto.

oh yeah been there!! lol! I always tell people that are starting vaping to save one cig. vape for two weeks without the cigs and just try, try and go back and smoke the whole thing without throwing up!!

Indeed! Quite amazing, it was about a month in. I used to smoke 3 packs a day!! Amazing what all those other chemicals in analogs do to you when they've been out of your body for a bit.

Well congrats on prolonging your life!

Thanks!

Of course she would be. The Vapors against the Smokers. To show the benefit of vaping instead of smoking. Educational, fun and profitable. hehe

Can the vapers claim my BIl - a former smoker but not a vaper - he's the one who had the heart attack that caused me to take up vaping. He unfortunately quit the hard way. lol - Anyhoo, he use to be a Nationally ranked FGolfer.

I saw that thread in the tips and tricks... I think the only thing I did differently was my lil sleeve thing. They talked like the little soft white grommet would fit on the tip of a basting syringe, but it wouldn't work on the one I had, so I improvised.

How long does it take to fully dry a carto?

I heated up my oven to 195 while I boiled etc. After boiling/rinsing was done I placed them in there and turned off the heat. I figure I will let them sit in there most of the day and then let them finish air drying overnight.

I have attys with the bridge/filler removed and it dried them in the oven for an hour. I did a couple hot burns to completely dry them out and they were ready to go.

oh yeah been there!! lol! I always tell people that are starting vaping to save one cig. vape for two weeks without the cigs and just try, try and go back and smoke the whole thing without throwing up!!

I did a cig after 1 week and the thing was nasty. I just found a pack that has 2 left. It has been most of Sept since I had an analog.

yes we found the drill - it was under the front counter!?!
I think I'm gonna go into my office - lock the door and cry a little.:cry:View attachment 19072

There, there, it will be ok. ;)

Still praying here! This is great news!

May I give you some reason to keep your hopes up? My neighbor was in a horrific accident in May - deer jumped off an overpass INTO her car. Car rolled end over end and then sideways 3 times. Was DOA when the squad got to her. Taken by squad to the Hospital right down the raod and then life flighted to major trauma center. Hubby told to prepare for the worst. Completely non-responsive, on a vent, brain swelling, yadda yadda. Slowly woke after 3-4 days. Weeks in rehab. Still going to therapy. But yesterday her new car was delivered. Permanent injury to her left arm - but has regained full use of everything else and her brain is fine. A few problems with memory issues - kinda funny actually - can't remember the names of "things" - like she can tell you what a bike does and how you use it but may have a problem remembering what it's called.
