If it's your first RTA, I guess you can get a single coil one. Good stuff. But then Wasp nano is a single coil one if I am not wrong, so it would be good to get the feet wet on a dual coil setup. Spit back is not much of a problem, leaking will be for sure on a RTA.
If your goal is primarily flavor, and cloud isn't a big deal, then a single coil is really sufficient. A bit easier to build and less power consumption. I use both single and dual coil RTAs, but my first was a single coil tank.
I also have the Serpent SMM. Pretty good for flavour but I really can't stand the airflow noise. I have the Ammit 25 as well, flavour about the same but the airflow is much better IMO, as is the build quality. I prefer vaping on the Ammit.
If I were choosing now, I'd probably go with an Augvape Intake, I like the bottom airflow idea (albeit it comes in from the top). Very tempted to try it but a bit reluctant to buy yet another tank that ends up on the reserve bench (I mostly use single coil RDAs these days), my other tanks have been passed on. The OBS Engine Nano also seems highly regarded, not so easy to come by now and out of the Nano or the Intake I'd probably opt to try the Intake.

If you'd like to try an RDTA, the Ivogo Rock is an absolute flavorbeast, which can be run in dual and singlecoil configuration, although the single coil has to be quite large (4mm+) due to the gargantuan wickingports.
Although it's a bit older, this is still one of my favorite RDTAs ever made, and for about 15$ certainly worth a try.
