I have the option of any one of the four RDAs that I have $25 in store credit for.

royal hunter 40$
Mutation v4 35 $
Troll rda 35 $
Freak show 35 $

This is pure shinyitis. I have my first RDA (a Sapor) and love it, I'm loaded up on juice, and I really don't want to spend my $25 on cotton and Kanthal.

The troll is the only once I can imagine not leaking like an open faucet due to the airflow, but perhaps I'm wrong?

The freak show seems least appealing due to being only 3 post. Maybe I'll do dual coil at a later point. I only have an I stick 30w as a mod, but that could change eventually (sooooooon)

What say you friends?

If this seems too open ended but, I'm just buying because I can.

I say--and this is coming from a member of a family full of maize and blue--go for the Royal Hunter. The Freakshow is good for flavor, but get your paper towel handy! I'd rather build for flavor knowing I don't have to worry (as much) about leaking. No offence to anyone that likes the MXv4, but I thought it was a really cool lookin' waste of ~$30. Great airflow, but that was it. The Troll and the Royal Hunter are probably more similar than I know, but I don't do logos like that. The Royal Hunter looks good to me for the price it is.

What do you like about the royal hunter?

For the price range, it is a good RDA for vapor and then for flavor. Easy to build on and it looks sweet. Oh, and that anti-spitback drip tip is (IMO) wonderful. Love that tip! Comfortable and the protection works well.

I also love how the airflow feels. It's not just always about how open it is, but I like the RH's draw in general.

Out of those though, the Freakshow probably has the best flavor. I got one but, eh, it's not what I want to vape with for whatever reason.

You can find the Royal Hunter for not much more than $35 online so it's possible it's authentic. Depends on how much your local B&M marks things up.

I haven't used the Royal Hunter but it's spoken of well in the RDA thread. I have the other three and honestly I wouldn't choose any of them. The Troll is all about clouds IMO. I've seen people post that the flavor is good but it's not in my experience. It's rotting on the shelf. Same for the Freakshow. Don't get why it's praised for the flavor cause it's been pretty meh for me and it also can leak like a sieve. The MutX V4 is the best of the those three but it also leaks often. Not worth the hassle. So by process of elimination, go for the Royal Hunter.

Hey Blue
I've tried the Royal Hunter, MutationXV4, and the Freakshow mini.

Freakshow Mini: very good flavor. Minimal leakage if you pay attention to fill level. I use it for testing juices
Mutation X V4: Didn't like it. Too much fiddling. Buncha air and not much flavor (of course this may be due to my inability but, I wasn't fond of it at all.)
Royal Hunter: Great deal especially for the money. Flavor is full. Build is easy. Love the air flow control, easy to dial in. No leaking.

My choice would be the Royal Hunter by far.

p.s. I ordered a Sapor yesterday so, I'll be looking forward to comparison.

Howdy Blue!

You've been a very active new user...nice to see that :)

I'll address a few things you've asked in the thread.

The royal hunter is a good atty for sure! Can't really go wrong with it.

If you want a cloud chucker, the Mutation X V3 is the jam! Air flow for days and no bottom holes for leaking. It's better than the V4 and simply rips!

That Sapor will spoil you on tidiness for sure. Most side/bottom airflow devices get at least a little condensation from the airholes. Not a huge deal if you are stationary.

Don't buy stuff at B&Ms if you can help it. Prices are crazy high and many sell clones unknowingly, or at worst, they pull the old switcheroo. There are some great B&Ms out there, but they are few and far between.

You said you're looking for some tips on running your Sapor for best performance. From your posts I've seen, I think you are under powering the device. RDAs are made for pushing the watts and I find the Sapor shines in the 50-70 watt range. Don't be afraid to push the envelope a bit. I'll help you with the build and it's very possible to have a smooth, cool, and full vape that really makes you smile. Hop into the Sapor thread and fire away with questions. Also, feel free to message me for help. I can even send you some coils to get you going with higher watts :)

Thanks for the support fellas picked her up today. I can see why it looks like leaking won't be a problem, lots of space for coils and wicks without touching the AF opening on the sides. Build quality looks great.

I'm confident she's no clone, came sealed and has a verification code and tons of little "council of vapor" paraphanelia. She'll by my fog machine at home while my Sapor will be for on the go.

Now to find a 60-80W mod that doesn't look like a brick for subohming with dual coils...

My local store has a "blowout sale" this weekend (so probably 10% higher cost than online) but I'll check it out anyway.

Thanks for the support and I hope you like your Sapor. I think it looks super sleek and minimalist and locks down tight to control juice. I don't run it at over real high wattage and do single coil so it's perfect. I can vape it in a bar or restaurant on my i stick 30w and not look like a loon blowing 6 foot plumes of smoke, then I can pop it right back in a pouch with the airflow closed and pocket it.

Looking forward to your comparison.
