Ok, here's my little story. The wife and I quit smoking on the same day after I had picked up a couple of cheap knock off kits at the corner store. We both had tried numerous times to quit and used every method except hypno. Well, a few days after we had made the switch my wife walked in after running an errand in her car and said she couldn't find her e-cigarette. She thinks she "flicked" it out the car window, so if anyone happens across an e-cigarette in the road please let us know.

I've been vaping a little over a year now. I had a false start with a "gas station e-cig". It "told me" me that it could work. I went through the 510 minis, the eGo, a "pipe bomb", and have finally settled on 808s. (I missed the "cigarette feel") I've only lusted after the box mods and self feeders. I would love to win one!

I love vaping! I have food allergies and can eat very few of my favorite foods, but with vaping, I can have all the flavors I want! I think the most excited I have been is when I made Peach Cobbler! When I was a kid, we had a peach tree in the back yard and my mom made the most fantastic jams and desserts and Peach Cobbler was my favorite. :) Sugar Cookies, donuts, danish, cakes! The ones I can eat are rather blah- but the ones I vape are absolutely heavenly!!!
I have a great main vendor, but to be able to whip up anything I crave on the spot has really made me not mind so much not being able to eat the foods anymore! And all of this is in addition to being able to feel so much better since quitting smoking!

Okay, here goes Nothing. I have been marveling over the beauty of these mods for a long time.

I have actually been trying to quit smoking since the Birth of my First Son. This has been a very wild roller coaster of emotion and disappointment after disappointment, I first tried the Patch in 1999, that gave me headaches, kept me up most of the night and made me nauseous all day long and I still smoked even with the patch on. Then I tried the Zyban thing and that really reacted badly with my body and mind as I am not a depressed individual, I soon became one and started drawing away from everyone and everything around me. This was not acceptable as I am in the Navy and I must have the social adeptness to interact with many many different types of people and personalities. After that I just kind of gave up for a while until my second Son was born. Then I tried cold turkey and that ended with a broken hand due to a temper flare at work and I put my fist through a brick wall, Not Good At All. Then a few months later I tried the Nicotrol inhaler, Piece Of Crap! Tastes like Hell, does not give the nicotine needed to curb cravings for a 2PAD smoker. Then a few years later on to the Lozenges, those were also very ineffective and horrible tasting. So I gave up on this endeavor until about 2 years ago when I started researching E-Cigarettes. It took a long time before I bought one because I wanted to find an actual store that sold the reusable kind.

Enter Smokin' Vapor owned and operated by Lori Switalla and her Son and I believe her Daughter as well in Panama City Beach Florida. My God this Woman Changed my Life forever as she had a real brick and Mortar store that I could walk into and she took me through the basics and I bought a 510 mega Auto kit. That kit found it's way back to the store the next day as the battery life was no where near what I needed to have for an entire day at work. So She upgraded me to an Ego T Tank Kit. That is where I found what I really needed to stay off of cigarettes. That is what hooked me on vaping. Then of course I came back from training and to this day I still keep in touch with Lori although I have a Brick and Mortar I go to here in California, every time I go to Panama City I still go to the shop to hang out with her and swap stories with her and Nick. Although I have my Go Go, Provari and my Ego-T batteries I do not use the Ego Tank atties any more, I swapped them out for CE3 Smokeymizers on the Ego Batteries I owe my quitting cigarettes to the Ego-T

I hope that Win Lose or Draw.... This story may inspire someone who is becoming discouraged to continue the push because it is worth it.
Happy Holidays ECF!!
Sincerely;
Nate aka Darth Vapor

I started Vaping after a difficult 2008 saw the death of my father from a heart attack the death of my wife's mother from kidney/bladder cancer (from smoking) that had metastasized. 2009 wasn't much better with the death of her uncle from kidney failure (from drinking) and my uncle from pancreatic cancer. I decided we both needed to get full physicals and QUIT smoking. So we did a lot of research and decided on purchasing the Blu Ecig. It served it's purpose. On June 12th of this year we both quit smoking. I still have a full pack of cigarettes in my truck and have no desire to smoke them. My wife and I are trying to think of the best way to get rid of them on our 1 year Cig free anniversary!

I'm still in the process of quitting all the way. I work as a tattoo artist and it's a really big part of "business meetings" to go out and smoke a cigarette while talking prices with the shop owner or the customer. And it's an appropriate timer for a break in the middle of a tattoo. My mom quit smoking and started vaping awhile ago (my mom is 36tinybells possibly the worlds best ecig missionary :D) and got me a nice ego kit that I've been taking out more and more.
Well. I'm pretty active in the local music scene and when I started going out and using my little ego at bars I would get made fun of. Everything from having friends hand me "real" cigarettes to...well...these are punk shows I'm going to and it's probably for the best that I not elaborate too much on other things said. At any rate I went out friday night to a friend's show. And when everyone migrated to the back porch of the bar (smoking is outlawed in public buildings in our state) at least 50% of us back there were vaping. And there were no more hecklers- the kids were just trading info about what brand kits they had and letting each other try out the different juices. It was pretty awesome.

Thanks for offering the chance to win such an awesome prize!

I started vaping because I had quit smoking. I had wanted to quit for the health reasons but honestly quit because of the cost. We'd always just bought a pack or two at a time but one day I bought a carton each for the 3 adults in the house and it was over $125.00. I added it up to the yearly cost and was immediately disgusted. I hated ashtrays, hated the smell and didn't smoke inside and had always meant to quit "someday" but knowing that we were spending over 5 grand a year smoking made me quit.

BUT the cravings, I wanted the sensation of smoking. I was the only one in the house that quit cold turkey, everyone else was "cutting down". One night, while they were outside smoking, I googled smoking alternatives and found an e-cig video. I immediately searched for an e cig forum and read for an entire day before placing my order for an ego kit. My family thought it was insane, when I told them about e cigs but it's worked. I've been without a cigarette for over a year and without nicotine for over a year as well. I vape zero nic. Sometimes I vape constantly and there has been times when I go days on an ego battery.

I always keep extra batteries, chargers, cartomizers to lend out to my friends. So far, I've converted almost everyone.

Brutus this an awesome idea. Here's my story. This Phid used to be mine. I sold it on the classies to Brutus a little over a month ago. It's awesome to think that it will be part of a PIF contest around Xmas to someone who really wants it and it'll go to a good home. If in some strange twist of fate the random # generator picks my # PIF again so someone else can enjoy it as much as I did but tell me if it does come up cause I just think that would be too funny. Gl everyone!!!

Ecigs saved my life. I was a 2 PAD smoker who couldn't/wouldn't quit. Then I found Ecigs.

I went through the usual stages...NJOY at 7/11, then Breathe Fresh...found ECF finally and after surviving the 1st month's overwhelming confusion I settled on a Joye 510 until I realized that the battery life wasn't up to my vaping appetite, so I grabbed a Riva which will almost last all day battery wise until recently when I took the next step and went to the mailbox on Saturday to stalk the mailman who was delivering my VV FOXY BOX MOD.

Buc, love your twin Phids story. Those are absolutely beautiful.

A vaping story, it all begins with a young man(me) that had gone through the usual quit and start back up smoking game, his fiancé didn't want him to smoke anymore and he was desperate to quit but nothing was working. One day along came a horrible kiosk that claimed this is it the thing I was waiting for all for only a lil over 100$. The young man excited to see such a device bought right in and began a new journey. After some more expensive buying came the wonderful world of google and with google the young man found a new online home called ECF. ECF brought vast knowledge of the ecig world along with new friends and very caring and helping people. The young man then obtained the information and support needed to win his smoking battle and gain new hobbies. The young mans fiancé couldn't be happier and neither could he. They are now able to live in a peaceful unstinky home and lived happily ever after since. Thanks for reading

My Father passed last month from lung cancer. He was the closest person to me to ever leave me and it really tore me up, still does, always will. I did not want my son to feel the pain I have gone thru with me passing sooner than I could have, so I bought a cheapie gas station ecig, then a V2, then I found this wonderful forum, now a kGo and I haven't smoked a real cig in over 3 weeks and I am not looking back.

I am an accidental quitter. My wife and son wanted me to order them one of the "free" e-cigs off the internet. After about 2 minutes of searching, I found they are a rip off. I soon found ecf, and ordered them a RIVA and a kGo. When the kits came in, my wife and I shared the RIVA, and my son (then 19 years old) got the kGo. We all vaped a bit, and continued to smoke. Three days later, I got in the "new" dual coil cartomizers. I haven't smoked since. I didn't even want to quit. It just happened. A week later I lit a cigarette for my wife and it tasted like licking an ashtray. I can be around smokers, and it doesn't bother me. After 30+ years of smoking, quitting was a piece of cake.

I was in Las Vegas last weekend and was Vaping my black Bomshell with a DCT Map Tank. I got the customary questions, what is that - is that an electronic cigarette - does it work. My husband and I had a couple guys standing behind us discussing what they thought we were doing and we struck up a conversation with them and gave them a lot of info on ecigs. But the best reaction was the woman next to me, "What the heck is that"? I told her and she said, "wow I just thought, she's really bold". I don't know what she thought I was doing but I have a feeling it wasn't something that's legal.

I don't get out too much but when I do, I don't usually vape in supermarkets and places like that because I don't care to deal with the the looks and what not. I mainly use it in places where cigarettes are allowed so I guess the funniest thing that happens to me is that pretty much every person that asks me about it inquires about putting different things in it and it's always either the first or second question

Other than that, I just wanna thank you for this awesome opportunity Brutus! I need all the chances I can get this year to put something under the tree :D

Here & There
I am pretty new to vaping and don't have any fantastic vaping stories to tell. I have a tight vaping budget and wouldn't be able to continue to do this if it wasn't affordable. This is a luxury in my home. I can share with you that a family member is the first person who introduced me to what an electronic cigarette was. It had been mentioned to me in phone conversations but when I actually saw one I was fascinated.

I didn't tell anyone right away because I thought they'd consider it backtracking as my last cigarette was July 2009 and I wasn't sure it was going to be sustainable money wise. I used budget/ discounted nicotine gum occasionally but no smoking--- could not afford to smoke years back and thats the only thing that made me quit. Did I miss it sure I did? Every day. That is until I found vaping. Now I don't miss smoking at all.

Well what can I tell you that is funny, interesting, or for that matter serious about vaping but only my experience . . . First off, I have yet to become a "Full-time" vaper . .. In the begiinging I was only looking to "Cut" down my 2 1/2 - 3 PAD Habit and Addiction . . . And as of this date, I am still stuggling my way though the different equipment and flavors avaible to me . . . I am still learning what there is out there and what might just be the ONE FLAVOR or thing that is going to get me to the other side . . . However, along the way, I am sticking to my committment to myself - TO BECOME A VAPER FULL TIME . . .

More importantly, I am amazed at all the other people here who have become my supporters and "ECF Friends" . . . while they are few - they are as positive as they possibly can be - encouraging, supportive and committed to me as I am to them . . .

AND what really gets me - They LOVE the "FLUFF" ;)
(Wish I was home and at my own computer to show you what I mean . . . )

The Only "Fluff" I have for you right now :D

My journey started out the first week in March of this year. Both my husband and I smoked, and he'd tried to quit several times. His cough was becoming more alarming so I picked up a $10 e-cig for him. I charged it up and it lasted all of 3 hours, but after the first puff I thought to myself "this could work". I got online that night and found ECF. And the rest as they say, is history.

To make a long story short, after my husband agreed to try to make the switch I ordered a kit for both of us. I got the kits on Saturday, March 19th, came to ECF with more questions, and on Sunday morning we started. I smoked my last cigarette that Sunday night at 7:30 and I haven't had one since.

Unfortunately, my husband still smokes. I thought he of all people would have it easier since he'd tried before and really wanted to quit. I, on the other hand had no desire to quit, and only tried it to encourage him. Deep down though I think I must have wanted quit, well that and the fact that I'm cheap and I wasn't about to let the money I spent go to waste. :)

On Tuesday (12/20/11) it will be 9 months for me without a cigarette. My husband can't believe I quit.

I'm still trying to win him over, but I know it won't happen unless he really wants it.

My buddy got me started on e-cigs he ordered a starter kit from altsmoke and suggested it to another one of our friends and wanted him to get one that friend put it off and put it off and then told me about how i should try it and let him know what i thought of it so that week i ordered my starter kit from altsmoke along with an extra bottle of juice. Now 104 days later i'm loving my vv box and acorn tank with my DIY juices (still looking for that perfect one) and tonight while at work on my lunch break i looked up to see my tank smoking by its self, after a bit of disassembly i find a short on my vv board :( now i have to wait for my 18650 box to get here so i can put my next one together, til then ive always got my 3.7box and my manual 510 batts but im going to miss vv until my parts get here.

My little sister started my new hobby for me :D
She had ordered a 401 kit ,on the opinion of someone she worked with.
Had it a few days and couldn't get used to it, so she brought it to me, to figure out .
I google'd & found ECF ...next thing I knew I was hooked
And once I got equipment & juices I trusted to work I put cigs down for good !
She sadly still won't vape . Just doesn't like it ...can you imagine ??

I love "IT" the flavors & freedom to pretty much blow BIG CLOUDS of vape when & where ever I wanna ...
like you guys I refrain in G-stores etc....but if I absolutely have to (or un-mindfully) take a hit ...
I just hold it or blow it in my jacket  And the NOT stinking anymore, etc...
Vaping has changed my life in so so many wonderful ways !!
& ECF & all the wonderful peeps & info & vendors & CONTESTS !!! have really helped to keep me going !!

My Thanks go out to you ALL along with Seasons Greetings !!
