FURTHER ADDENDUM from the "How stupid am I?" file:

I had conveniently forgotten about one of the actions of the Elite -- if you press the manual button three times, it turns the unit off so that it doesn't accidentally come on in your pocket or purse or something. The tech guy called, he was terrific, we went thru the charging test and I told him what lights were lit, and he told me to press the manual button three times to see if it worked, and -- well, I hate to have to say "Duh me", but ... "Duh me." I feel like such an idiot. So, don't be put off by what I said before. Oh, and FYI, the tech said that they have to put some sort of limit on the warranty so that people don't try to return it after three months or something, but he emphasized that they will always always try to resolve any problem. Go CigEasy!

ADDENDUM: Update: I got an email from CigEasy today telling me that if the lights at least work when it's plugged in, then the batteries aren't dead, and they asked if I would like a tech person to call me and walk me thru a fix. Yay! I'll be sure to post my results. Now I feel bad.
==========
After reading all the great things here about the Elite, I ordered it as my first vape hardware. It looks cool and it delivers good TH -- for three weeks. Both batteries died on me at less than 4 weeks although I did not overcharge them, and I careful to make sure the fillable carto-thingies were dry before attaching.

I informed the CigEasy company about my experience and haven't heard back yet but since their warranty is a 7-day non-DOA warranty, they are under no obligation to replace what I consider to be faulty batteries.

Also, I should point out that their user manual is quite deficient and incorrect. It was obviously cloned from the Easy manual and was not proofread accurately enough to distinguish the two products. I've been a technical writer for IBM for 12 years and know a thing or two about these things, and I took the time to write to CigEasy and describe in detail the errors. I did hear back from the company but apparently they have little interest in either correcting the manual (written in China) or correcting their one-sheet add-on that attempts to clarify things.

I've since ordered a kgo from that Hoosier company that I've read so many good things about in these forums. If I hear back from CigEasy I will certainly report thereon. I think the Elite is a great product, but frankly it has to work for more than 3 weeks.
