Hey guys,
I recently received my Cisco 1.5 ohm 510 atty from happyvaper and I mentioned it in another thread but I wanted to be a little more thorough with this one since they just hit Canadian soil not too long ago.
First vape
After plugging it onto my 18650 eGo Box Mod, putting 5 drops in, giving a quick "ghost pull" to see how wet it was (I find this technique helps me never burn an atty dry) and adding 2 more I gave it a vape.
Very clean flavor, in fact a little bit better than the Cisco 306. I could taste nothing but liquid and I can feel the vapor on the draw into my mouth. I tried it with Cherrywood from NFN and the Cherry tasted even better on this atty.
Throat hit is very nice, maybe a touch less scratchy than the Cisco 306 but I really like it. I vape high nic juices and tobacco varieties were enough to make me cough after each vape.
It seems to run a little bit cooler than the 306 (which can crack or melt drip tips if you aren't careful I hear) and works very nicely on my eGo with my old cone.
Overall I was impressed on the initial vape, I continued to vape normally and apparently forgot that 510's are juice hogs and accidentally dry burned it within an hour. After blowing out the juice, letting it sit to cool for a few minutes and re-priming, it was tasting awfully burned and needed the wicking removed.
The Inner Coil
So I de-wicked/bridged and repeated the process and the problem was gone. I also was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of the coil inside! Since I don't de-bridge my 306's I don't normally get a good look to see the coil.
Anyone who de-bridges their Joye LR 510's will know that most of the time the coil looks all over the place and loosely wound, I find that there will be one section of coil that is stretched and I believe this contributes to my dry burn issue and never getting another truly good vape from them after that.
The Cisco 510 coil looks almost exactly like a light bulb coil, very tightly wound and exactly where it should be. Personally I would love to see every atomizer coil resembling this, unrealistic really but it would be nice.
After a few days of use
It is still kicking out the vapor, still has that same great flavor and produces the same amount of vapor. I haven't burned it down again and never intend on it, but I would suggest anyone who tries these to either never burn them dry and if they do then remove the wicking to get rid of that burned flavor.
Will it replace the 306? Nope, but it will compliment it nicely, is being added into my atty rotation and the drip tips for 510's have many more options, so that is a nice perk.
I have never tried a vapemate, but I have a feeling that it would pair with these nicely.
