Clapton w 24/28gs

I have 24 and 28g kanthals on hand and was wondering if it would be a bad idea to use 24g as ID and 28g as OD , almost all the builds I've found were 22/24 with 30-36g outside.

Any idea what this would ohm out to roughly on a single coil 3/32 4-6wraps?

My regulated box won't fire below .36 so I would have to shoot for .4 roughly.

It would work, but it might be a bit tough to wrap. Also you're going to need an atty with fairly large post holes.

As for the ohms... No clue. I did 5 wraps, 24g core, 30g clapton and it came out to ~ .48Ω (Dual coil was .24) around a ~2.5mm ID screwdriver. So it'll be close, you might need to make it a larger coil or do a few more wraps.
