Maybe I'm lazy (probably) and should read further, discovering this question has already been answered. If so, I apologize, but I think it's probably an easy enough question that someone can answer readily.

When discussing making NET, are we talking about making concentrated extracts that can be added to a juice mix (similar to what would be purchased from The Flavor Apprentice), or are we talking about using the whole tobacco to flavor a pre-mixed quantity of e-liquid (as in mixing a 50/50 batch of 18mg unflavored juice and then sticking the tobacco leaves into it for X amount of time)?

Or are there methods of doing both?

I hope this doesn't fall under the category of stupid questions. If so, please forgive me in advance.

Regardless, thank you everyone for reading!

Depending on the amount of tobacco and PG/VG used, the resulting extract is included at 10 to 30% in the juice mix. I use 1 ounce of tobacco and cover with 100 to 120 ml of PG for a room temperature soak. This yields 80 to 90 ml of extract which I mix at 15 to 25% in juice. You have to experiment a bit with the inclusion rate to get juice to your taste. Hope this helps.

ETA: Don't add nicotine until you're mixing juice. No reason losing some of it to the tobacco which you throw away.

This seems safe and easy, how long is your soak and do strain it through coffee filters as I have read others do? Hope you don't mind me asking because I would like to try it, I've read numerous threads and posts on DIY but I haven't found a starting point for the process. When you say you mix it at 15-25% I take it that it is mixed with VG or PG USP grade base.

Here is more on room temp maceration: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liquid-extraction-tobacco/508026-cold-maceration-tobacco.html

You mix the resulting extract with PG, VG, and nicotine base to achieve your desired PG/VG ratio and nic level. I suggest doing some reading here before attempting an extract. Good luck.
