I don't quite understand it myself. People selling ProVaris in the $235+ range and they just come with a couple batteries and a charger. Then you got them going for $300+ for added tanks and what not.

Just seems that people are pricing everything at brand new cost, then throwing in the price of fees and shipping and coming up with these huge numbers.

I might as well go out and buy a ton of Provaris, batteries and chargers for cheap and then flip them for $100 profit, seems that's the trade now-a-days lol.

/end rant.

Ah yeah, the prices of Katanas and GGTS's... Now that's a WHOLE new level...

The only things you can get great deals are on liquids, eGo kits and 808D Kits... Cartos and other accessories. Nothing much else, especially mods.

Considering a Provari Mini is about $170 not including shipping. I personally think that a Provari would lose AT LEAST 10% of it's value when fired the first time. Another 10% for running around 30ml of juice and give it about 5% off for little nicks and 10-15% for every gash from being dropped or worn plating...

My asking price for a ProVari Mini with batteries and a charger for about $140 should be decent for a well used provari as long as it works perfectly fine.

I guess I have to agree and don't really understand it. I get when Reos and other hard to come by mods go for over purchase price, but the Provari is always available brand new. But, people buy them still so there must be some sort of demand I guess. I own a Provari and its my favorite mod but I'd way rather buy a brand new one.

Just people trolling for suckers. If they are V1s, you might as well get a lavatube.

The GGs are highly prized and nearly impossible to get new. People are starting to collect them as well. The serial number matters. I can sort of see that.

I picked up a Reo on the classies but, it was a little less than retail but, no Provaris don't make any sense.

I'm starting to think that, in a time like this, when e-cigs are still on the loop of fame or failure; that there should be a rule against selling easily acquirable and/or currently produced equipment at a huge increase in price...

I understand profit and all, but some of the stuff out there is going for an EXTREMELY hitched up price.

It's really all too simple: if ya don't like the asking price, then don't buy.

Also, keep in mind that all we see is the askin' price, NOT the selling price!

Does your example bother me, ummm... not really.

Would I try 'scalp' my spare PVs? Noper! In fact I have three 'LNIB' PVs boxed and readied to ship that I probably won't sell on-line due to price drops within da recent vaping market. I'll just offer 'em up to my local c'verts at a lo$$...

I believe OP has an answer to her question so I will be closing this thread. No, we do not cap the prices in the classifieds and we do not allow pricing complaints in a sale or trade thread. As others have said, if you don't like the price, do not buy. I don't think very many of the classifieds buyers are naive enough to not check on availability and pricing for whatever it is they want new from the manufacturer. Others just may not be as concerned or it's an availability issue. Sometimes the demand is higher than the available supply and other times it's just a good old fashioned case of someone overvaluing their items. We do keep an eye on things though to help ensure no one is acting as a supplier through our classifieds though.

We would not be able to monitor all of the various items, current pricing, availability, to enforce prices that are above or not far enough below the original sales price. I wouldn't even want to leave that open for others to report. Someone doesn't like a price, they may not know as much about the lot as they think they do. It's just not something we've been concerned with because there hasn't been too much of an issue. Do your research before you buy a used item. Just like with buying any other used piece of equipment.

Thank you!

JM.
