Clean Atomizer w/ each flavor change???

Hi Everyone,

Quick question, could be a stupid one. I just got my Volcano on my doorstep about 30 min ago, and have started vaping. Too cool, though I took about 7 hits playing, and now I have a little buzz and stomach nausea, lol. I was wondering...Do I need to clean out the atomizer each time I switch flavors? I only have one atomizer at the moment, but have a few extra on order. I just don't want to screw-up the flavor if I can help it. But like all kids in a candy store, I want to stick my hands in every jar, and sample each one. Any advice from the experts out there would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

LTJ

I only clean out my atty when switching to a flavor that is (IMAO) not compatible with the new flavor i want to vape. EG: Currently Vaping Coconut....done with that, switching over to Chocolate...(no need to clean atty) Done with Chocolate, time for Marlboro....time to clean out my atty!:nun::nun::nun:

Blindsoup, thanks! That makes perfect sense. I guess I would want to fully finish a cartridge before popping another one in, as I'm assuming the first one would leak or dry out. Just wondering, but is it fairly common to get a little head rush at first. I normally smoke MB ultra lights about a pack a day. But I got one heck of a throat hit the first few times using my volcano. I guess I should mention that my cartridges are lights. Thanks again for all of the good info.

I would not clean an atty (other than blowing it out a bit) unless it completely fails to work. Every one that I have cleaned using , hot water rinse, mouthwash soak then rinse, or boiling and rinsing barely produces any vapor at all. Cleaning seems to do more harm than good.

I just stick the new flavor in and 2 or 3 puffs later it has changed over. Maybe my sense of taste just sucks though.

I blow mine out real well, due a short version of the Dry burn then put some straight pg on the bridge and burn it a couple of hits and repeat once then reprime with the new flavor, unless its something really tough like the Automic Fireball or a few others, this seems to wokr quite well give it a shot see what ya think

As other people have said, just blowing out the atty should be fine and washing the filter in the cart also.

That buzz and stomach nausea could be from you vaping a nic level that is too high for you. What nic level are you starting with?

As with the other posters, I don't change out my atty when switching flavors, be it dripping or using a foam cart. It's a PITA for me to keep different attys and carts for different flavors. I usually just blow out my atty really well and continue on with the next. It does help to keep the flavors in the same group.

Right now, I'm vapping rootbeer, then peach, then plum and back to rootbeer. For some reason I like the taste. I'll blow out the atty when I switch to coffee/cappuccino.

As for cleaning atty's - I do a dry burn. If my atty is really, really gunky, then dry burn, rinse with hot water, blow, dry burn repeat.

Welcome, and the first month, I was so worried that the flavors would not mix together, so I changed out the atty for every different flavor...Now, going on my third month,,,I don't care...I will put anything in my cart as long as I get the original TH that I want...The taste thing for me is very highly over-rated...But, again, that is me...Enjoy...and Welcome...
