Been vaping for about a year and I started with V4L and still have and use the KR808 XL manual batts (380 mAh) - I ordered a
6v device about 3 mos in to get better performance out of the KR cartomizers (V3 w/KR adaptor) and it worked - and I've tried almost every carto out there - Here is my two cents for your situation:
- Order KR Boge Cartomizers (3 ohm) - I finally ordered these (cloudsofvapor and others) after reading alot about them and, trust me, nothing compares - I haven't tried the dual coil cartos yet (gotvapes.com) but for a single coil, the Boges just kick .... -
- Order a pack of ce2 R4s (clear or stainless - same vendors as above plus others - google it) - these are no more expensive than a box of cartos with filler - I can't tell you how well these are working on my KR8 batts (either the 2.4 or 2.6 ohm work great) - I've cleaned and dry-burned the coils on 5 of these at least four times and they perform like brand new every time - I've boiled, rinsed, dried with a small fan for 3 days, filled when completely dry and when slightly damp and never got my cartos to perform like when new - for $2, the e2s last way longer and after cleaning no different than the day you got 'em - I've got ten boxes of these and over the last 2 months I'm still using the same 8 clearos that I started with - btw, I remove all of the rings so no syringe - just drip down the side past the cup till full

I have not yet tried the CE2's. I am going to now though after reading this. Very interesting concept and design. Thanks for posting :)

I'm learning lots of new stuff here. Very interesting thread indeed...

The Boge is a good Carto, however I recommend you also try some Ikenvape V2 Gold cartos and also his Fusion carto's, these are both a high QC carto that rank very high to a lot of users, me included, just a recommendation.

Try keeping a drip tip on the carto's instead of the soft removable white cap, this way you can keep them topped off and always wet, I know when I use carto's the way I vape I have to fill them much more than others, this nonsense about a carto lasting a full day is crazy the way I locomotive a carto, I'm constantly dripping in them. You can but good ones from Eastmall for .80ea in bulk of at least 20 or more and they are Boge if my memory serves me correct, however I highly recommend the Iken v2 gold drippers without having to buy the drip tip so there cheaper, also the new dual coils are pretty good and they now come in different ohm ratings for vaping at different voltages, I like the metal stainless steel ones over the plastic ones when it comes to them. If your buying bulk you can also buy right from Smoketech too

Another really good carto is the new "Echo" carto it holds 3ml's of juice and you can refill this mutha a ton of times as well as pull out the filler and wash it clean as new, it has a bottom horizontal coil too, they come in a 901 native fitting and as of tomorrow they will will come in the Echo E which is built to go on the Ego style Batt or any 510 connection, available at Cropduster901.com check em out they Rock

Ha! Well, right now, - being sort of a noob on taking cartos apart - I managed to put one back together and made a nice dripping carto - it actually makes more vapour than when I got it from the box! Still playing around with these - so this is all a new alley for me to travel down, though.
And to Credo: "Another cool thing about these...
You can make your on coils out of nichrome and silica...they'll pop in without solder or dicking with screws." - hmmmm. This is also interesting. Could you elaborate more on this method?
Many thanks to everyone here at ECF!!

LOL I've been tossing lots of 1-day cartos in the trash - many of them never did produce much vapour to begin with. Definitely will NOT be ordering from those vendors again. I'm playing around with taking the better vapour producer cartos apart burn coil with a ciggie lighter, and put them back together again.
I'm up to 3 good working cartos right now. I'm experimenting with just pulling the batting/filler material out with tweezers or drywall screw, burn coil and replace everything.
I began experimenting and now it's getting outta hand LOL!
..Gettin' my vape on..

Cleaning carts, atty's and now cartos ( soon as my stuff arrives) is a must for me with my tight budget. I have two atty's last me a week each and I revived them by cleaning/soaking before dry burn, but now this last one is going on 2 weeks and I have only dry burned it and it's still hitting great. 2.0 ohm on a Riva 3.7. I think soaking them may not be necessary and may cause harm.

OK. I hit up GotVapes and decided to try out those newfangled 'fluxomizers' - is the spelling wannabe GERMAN or what - so anyways, the fluxies work great! I also got some clearomizers - they work good too - it's nothing more than a regular old carto with a plastic tube instead of the tape-covered metal one. I also - just for the hell of it - got a few tank carts and some smart carts - they SUCK. Leaky-... ...... Burnt taste right away. Not much is going to save those. I don't like the mouthpieces - it's like smoking one of those cheap cigars in the store with the wooden or plastic tips. I'm sorry, but I am NOT impressed with those. I'm thinking "money thrown to the wind". Whatever. Win a few lose a few - it's all good. Everything comes out even in the end...
And remember: this is only my opinion and experience... I think I might experiment some more with gunky clogged-up cartos - I have been converting them to atomizers - so far - so good. Only lost a few...

I think many of us, myself very much included are on "tight budgets".... I look at it this way when it comes to cartos and juice...I had no problem come hell or high water when it came time to buy a pack or carton of analogs. It was NO PROBLEM what so ever to pull one out of the pack and light up. I sure as heck would have thought twice if I had to "wash" every dang cigarette I ever smoked..

NO WAY am I cleaning ...... Cartos are disposable. I am still saving more by throwing them away than I spent on Analogs!

Well. The Fluxomizers so far have lasted 2 days, then they died off - almost no vapour at all. I have a lot of dead cartos I was planning to burn the gunk off of, and repack, but I'm lazy - so they stack up! LOL. It's too easy to just pull out another carto, screw it in, and vape away!
Yah, I'm saving money too - and also health.
Just sayin'..
