Hello! I've just started vaping again, and decided to empty and clean a couple of Nautilus Mini tanks to prepare them for new flavors I have on order. I had them originally filled with some locally purchased liquid which I just don't like very well.

So, I took apart the minis, and cleaned them all with warm water. I think I may have screwed up, though, because I also ran the atomizer(?) through water too. The coil part - the bit that fires. Did I ruin them? I have spare coils/atomizers for the tanks, so I'll just use the spares if I did, but I wondered for the future if/how those should be cleaned when switching flavors?

Also - when I do get new flavors - how do you recommend testing them? I've kept some older style clearomizers (they could be ViVis? something like that) from my last vaping try a few years ago (the ones with wicks hanging down). I thought I'd use those for taste testing, but if there's a better/simpler way, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks!

if you let coils dry overnight should be fine,i use a rda to test new flavors

Oh, that's great to hear about the coils, thomas - thank you!

I've read about dripping, but I've never really looked into it. Is there a particular brand/style/design I should look for, or is there a place I can read more about the process? I have to admit I'm a bit skeered of the idea

Thank you!

All I know is that the instructions state that you shouldn't rinse the BVC coil head. I'm not sure why.

I guess the only thing to do is try to use that coil. If it doesn't work right, you'll know why. Good thing you have spares.

I know - it wasn't until after I had rinsed the coils that I actually read the instructions. Just a silly oversight on my part. I'll give them a try once they've dried out for a day or so.

I just had the reverse problem. I've only been vaping for a week, started off with Five Pawns – Castle Long in my Nautilus Mini. After a few days I tried some Gambit. It's very nice, but not an all day vape for me, so went back to the Castle Long. No problem.

Today I put 1ml of LiQua – Coffee in the tank. It really wasn't for me. So I dismantled and washed everything except the atomiser, which I cleaned as best I could with tissue paper and cotton buds.

Reload with 2ml of Castle Long, took a hit and yuk! My Castle Long is being over powered by the taste of over roasted coffee. I thought it would pass within a few pulls, but 1ml down, and it's still coffee.

I can't understand how a tiny drip of the coffee that must have been left in the atomiser body is hanging on in there so long.

Won't be doing that again.

I'll put up with it, finish the 1ml, but if it doesn't improve before I refill I'll be changing the atomiser.

[for atomiser I mean the replaceable BVC coil – still getting used to the vaping jargon]
