I have been rotating 3 attys for over 5 months now and every night I take a q-tip with alcohol, clean it, dry it with the other end, blow it out and leave it tilted down to dry. They are old and were giving a less than stellar performance so I put them in Diet Pepsi for about 5 hours and was amazed how well they work now! It is like they are new again! You could use any soda type beverage that has a high acid content like Coke or Pepsi.

I've had a couple 901 atty's going for 2-3 months now... In general, I don't clean or drain them.

However, about once a month or so, I find a cleaning ups there performance. I tried several methods, usually with short-term success (alcohol) or stripping the paint off my atty's (boiling). Also, those methods do nothing to the caked on black carbon deposits which develop over time.

The only thing that removes those deposits for me is to fill the atty 1/2 way with baking soda and drop into a shotglass of vinegar. Let sit for a couple hours then rinse well...

Still haven't tried coke tho... I'm curious if the coke method will remove the carbon buildup?

Thanks.

DSE601/801 atomizers: 10-15 second burn, wait to cool and repeat. Doing this two to three times per week.

You do this by sucking on atty with no cart on the 801 correct? How do you suck for 15 sec??? lol!

I had read about this, I think i'm doing it correctly, but I had an 801 that I thought was dead, even ordered a new one, and this totally brought it back to life. Going on 3 months with these atty's...

I would suggest the awful taste must be something else (more likely a bit of polyester cart material getting melted onto the coil....I have put that fibreglass wicking material into the hottest part of a Bunsen burner flame and all it does is 'clean' it.
Fair enough, but I know what the polyfill tastes like when it burns and what I tasted wasn't that. The fibers I pulled out definitely appeared to be burnt, but I can't say with certainty cause I just threw 'em out. Turned me off of the 510 for about the last 2 weeks. Hopefully the atty that Innovapor has now will take care of all that. I'm a fan of the 510 other than that crap in the atty, and when the cart has the batting type fill (not the loose polyfill).

I have been vaping since April. I have Npro and Joye 510. I had one
atty come from seller dead. Thats all I have lost. I blow out the attys daily and give them a alcohhol bath every 7 to 10 days. When changing
flavors I blow out the atty and drip a few drops of the new flavor. You will still get a bit of the old liquids flavor for a while.

When we first moved to this area people told us not to go wandering in the woods, because some Moonshiners shoot first and ask questions later. Of course the benefit was that the guy I dated in high school always had plenty of money to take me out and a kick ... '68 Mustang that he ran Moonshine in. It was the mid 80's and I felt like I had moved to the Dukes of Hazzard or something :).
