In case you have a slow connection (like I do), let me give you the 3:49 sec vid right here.

Wear gloves when working with nicotine.

1. Remove cap and ring with by poking something thru the hole and lifting.
2. Place rings and caps in a cup of hot water.
3. put cartos in a saucepan (vid shows one at a time not sure if that's necessary) and add water to cover.
4. Bring to boil and let sit 15 minutes.
5. Rinse and repeat. (The colander looks handy)
6. On second rinse add caps and rings to rinse water.
7. Blow thru battery end onto a paper towel to remove excess water.
8. Set on paper towel - battery end up - overnight.

Enjoy.

you certainly don't need 100 proof alcohol to clean it.

the one i dissected cleaned well by just running water through it.

you could pull plug/washer, rinse, soak in water with a little bit of chlorine added to it to disinfect and loosen crud, and then rinse again with warm water. then again, removing the crud might cause the remaining pieces of it to disintergrate.

you could pull plug/washer, rinse, heat up water, remove water from heat, add carts, and strain. then again, bringing it to boil with the carts already in the water probably would be easier on the small wire, nylon, and poly running through it. quick changes of temperature while immersed in water could cause it to fall apart.

I tried this and it didn't work that well for me. The carts never got that clean. Maybe I didn't do it long enough or maybe the juice I'm using is harder to get out. They never had the same taste or throat hit after boiling which is why I switched to greencig carts so I can just replace the filler after it gets too used.
Is there a limit to how many times you can put your carts through the wash?

I've not kept track of how many times I have washed a carto, I'm unfortunately not that organized.

When I boil, the 1st time it is for about 15 min with the water at full boil. Then, that water is dumped and the new water is 15 min at full boil. It all takes about an hour

I have never had a problem with juice left in them, some do degrade after the boil though. These cartomizers are meant to be disposable and thats going to happen anyway. I've not seen a refilled carto hit like a brand new one

Off to check out Greencig carts... Cheers
