I've boiled mine in 2 sequences of 10 minutes each. Make sure they're the metal cartos, not plastic. Be sure to take the rubber/plastic top off (white piece) before boiling. Usually after I boil them, i take my syringe with a pen rubber grip and attach the carto to it and blow them out. After that either blow them out with your mouth or just shake them in the air to get the rest out.

Make sure you let them dry for 24 hours with the connection facing up. When you go to refill, dont put too many drops in at one point. Go in small amounts (around 10) to get it started, vape it and see if it needs a couple more drops.

I oven dry mine. Be careful with the air drying because I had some mold on me once from the filler staying damp too long. Army boy may be right. These things are inexpensive and it really is a lot of work. I just can't bring myself to throw them away knowing that I could get a few more weeks from them. The other side of the coin is that some of them will not work after cleaning and it is a real PITA cleaning, filling with juice and then finding it does not work. So I guess it all depends if it is worth it to you or not :)

I've tried all kinds of tricks to clean a cartomizer. None were worth the effort. Just pitch 'em when they're done. Try to avoid changing flavors and don't let them dry out while firing them. Everything else I've tried was a waste of time, juice, and money.

I've only used the CE2's in the clearomizer style. Major PITA - leaks, slow wicking, cracking tubes. Nothing like screwing up a new cartomizer, wasting juice, and having a mess all over your PV and work area. I have a couple of versions of the newer tank mods that are out now, but I don't expect them to last long before the rubber end-plugs start deteriorating. If I can make use of the CE2's I have on-hand, I won't consider it a loss. Another passing fad. They were cleanable though.

I'm content reverting back to high quality cartos like Boge's and Ikenvapes. When they wear out - well, they are considered disposable... I've had them last over six weeks with no taste change. I don't have time to keep tinkering with stuff that doesn't work or is wornout.

Here's what I do with mine:

Sling out as much leftover juice, if any, out of it.
Rinse in hot water and sling a couple more times.
Place in ultrasonic jewelry cleaner for 4 x 3 minute cycles with hot water.
Drain off dirty water.
Run one more 3 minute cycle with clean hot water.
Sling out all the water that you can get out.
Place in a food dehydrator that has a circulating fan in it. Turn on high and leave overnight. I haven't had any that have had any problems after removing them from the dehydrator.
Fill and enjoy.

I just cleaned my first BOGE Carto after it started tasting weird...

I have one of those on-demand 135 degree water taps at my sink....
- Basically run hot through for about 30 seconds.
- Intermittently blowing through.
- Repeat

- Place Atomizer end silicon cap on
- Fill with alcohol (to loosen crud)

- Run water through again

- Fill with alcohol, blow out one last time....
This leaves the carto filler dry, as the alcohol evaporates rapidly as you blow through.

I filled the carto within 5 minutes, and it performed like it was new.
This particular one had been filled probably 7-8 times to this point.
