cleaning eGo-t attys

I just got an Ego-t and have been vaping pretty heavily for the past couple of days (new toy!). How often should I clean it? I'm using PG and have gone through three refills already. I reeeeaaaally like this thing!.

Thanks, very informative. I think I'll try the IPA or hot water methods as I am not so confident to disassemble anything quite yet. I only have two and would be really upset if I destroyed one. Maybe as my collection grows, as I'm sure it will.

Just remove the atomizer and dunk it in coke Iv heard. I just used everclear on mine. No more than 15 min.

Only difference is that I used boiled distilled water. Works like a charm.

Also, sometimes I use denture cleaning tabs. A tip I picked up from some other members here. Really works well.

Iv haven't used the coke. I would rinse with water if I try that. I found those methods and denatured alcohol by searching around. But decided against the denatured alcohol because you cant drink it.

195 proof cleaning solution! I like. Unfortunately ( or fortunately for my liver) I'm stuck with IPA and water. Oh well, we'll see how it goes.

Iv read the minerals in the water could clog the atty. Pure grain alcohol. Don't drink it.

Well, I stated two methods using DISTILLED water. The first was to boil it and then let it soak for a few minutes, dry it out, and then do some dry burns. Finally, I would throw the old distilled water out and fill a bowl with some more distilled water that hasn't been boiled and rinse it out. Finally letting them dry out.

The second method is to fill a bowl with distilled water and put some denture tabs in there and let them soak for an hour. Then throw out the old stuff. Pour in some new distilled water, rinse it out, do some dry burns, rinse it out again, and then let them dry for a WHILE.

Dry burning is best done after letting them soak for a while. Blow out of both sides of the atomizer, put a paper towel on both sides to soak some of the extra water. Blow then out again to make sure that there isn't to much water in there.

Then, follow the instructions in the video link that I provided. If you really don't want to take a look at the video:

1. Put the atomizer back onto the battery
2. Press the power button for less than a second.
3. Continue this until you see smoke coming out and start to see the coil light up.
4. You might wanna let it sit for a second for it to cool down. If you don't then you can pop the coil that way.
5. Once you see all the old juice turn to ash. Rinse it out again. Repeat if neccessary

You'll notice that the coil light up evenly and all the way through once it's totally clean from all the old juice that was gunked on it.
