Cleaning EVOD COIL with vodka question

Hi everyone, I was just curious if I can soak my evod COIL in vodka for a couple of hours? Would it harm the coil or wick?

It shouldn't hurt it ....but I really don't see the need ?

I just take the rubber ring/cap off & then the little metal cap/spike deal off...
& rinse under running water for a second & pat dry w/P.towel...
then dry burn till coil is clean (@3.7voltage ), blow off ...put back together, add liquid & vape .

Thank you for your response. Maybe I should have explained why I wanted to clean the coil with vodka. Every time I have run the coils under water and pat dry with a paper towel the smell of the old juice is there. I wanted to use a different juice and figured I didn't want the taste disturbed with the old.

the taste will only be there for the first few drags, vape it a little and it will go away. the more drastic the flavor change the longer this will take. if your making a change from a real strong rich flavor like say coffee to a light flavor like mint then u should probably just use a new head.

the heads are pretty simple to make yourself after watching a few youtube videos assuming you have an apv that can read your ohms.

I rinse mine under very hot water for 1/2 to 1 minute, and soak in cheap vodka for days.

Works quite well actually.

VG when it burns leaves residue, specially in the coil. Dry burning a 1,25 bucks head to me is a waste. I wash it in very hot water and leave it overnight in alcohol. I just rinse it afterwards and it's good to go. I've had heads working for 4 months. My advice is this...

I'm so glad to find this post. I just threw a couple of my coils in some vodka last night and was wonder what my next step should be! Thanks!

Rinse with water and let air dry - then you should be good to go.

Yep, I rinse with hot water. Throw everything in an old aspirin bottle with enough vodka to cover the parts, shake a few times and let sit overnight.
Rinse out with hot water the next morning and let all pieces air dry all day. This works great, no need to dry burn.

I must be lazier than most. I drop my used coils in a little cup of cheap vodka to soak in the morning before going to work. When I come home, I take them out and lay them on a paper towel to air dry. Then I pick them up, insert & go the next time. Yes, the first couple hits taste like cheap vodka but it burns off quickly and I never taste whatever juice I had before but I don't use really thick or strong flavored juices.

Just curious, why specifically vodka? Not tequila, rubbing alcohol, some other water diluted spirit or non toxic cleaner? (Seriously, I always see people say specially vodka - just wondering why? )

I'm pretty sure that Vodka is recommended because it won't leave a strong flavor behind. It's pretty mild tasting. I wouldn't want my juice tasting like Wiskey!

Vodka because it's cheap. Some use Everclear. I have a bottle that was confiscated from an under-age nephew and it's so cheap that I won't ever drink it--Popov. Absolut would be too expensive to use as cleaning fluid--LOL.

One hour is sufficient, then you will need to rinse well with hot water ... maybe dry burn. Good luck
