Cleaning out atomizers and batteries?

I would like to clean out my atomizers, batteries and USB passthrough to get rid of the burnt smell coming out of them and also to increase their lifespan. What are some methods you have used or can recommend, because I'm not sure if I can run water through the batteries or passthrough and not short-circuit it?

I use can air in the holes and then use a steamer to clean the wick inside.My atomizers vap better than new..
