Cleaning Riva battery connector

What is the proper way to clean the connector part of a Riva battery that Eastmall recommends? Alcohol and a q-tip?

I have no idea what the recommended way is by EM. But with every battery change that I do, I wipe mine out with a paper towel that I rolled into a little point. So far I have had no build up of any kind in it. Di would have to tell us what the recommended way would be?

as far as I know there is no recommended way --

I read the manual again to make sure,

but I see no cleaning recommendations, --

I agree with Gerry --

with all of my units, --
I also use a paper towel or tissue,
rolled and pinched to a point --
and wipe out any juice or build up --

I also have had no juice excess or build up of any kind with RiVa so far
I am thrilled with my 510 attys, - I have no leakage at all.----

The reason I ask, Di, is because I used to drip a lot with one particular battery, and now I'm having problems occasionally getting 510 cartomizers to fire on that battery (yet they work fine on my other Riva battery). To get the cartomizers working on the other battery, I have to turn the center post of the cartomizer's battery end slightly to the left with a screwdriver.

I have been using a q-tip to clean both, but I'm wondering if that's not enough? Maybe I will try a little rubbing alcohol.

well, I have no answer other than my previous,

and be careful with that screwdriver,
the cartomizers have a central wire that is the heating coil for it,
if you break that wire,
you are stuffed, ---
well --- your carto is anyways -- hahahah..

Yeah I had read that in another thread where I learned of the method...I turn it slightly to the left and that gets it working. I'll see if cleaning it helps.

but, ---- whatever floats your boat -- hahhahaha ----

and I guess if it gets it working --
then a twist and a tweak is all worth while huh????

Di will not commit cause if anything happened to your battery, then di will be blame, hehe

Anyway, I been using rubbing alcohol with either tissue paper or q-tip on all the connecting parts - battery, charger, atomizer, cartomizer, so far so good. Lots of black things will not be removed without the alcohol.

You are absolutely right there H2H, ---

I will not recommend anything personally,

but i do tell you what the manufacturers recommend,

if and when they do, --

and I pass on tips and tricks by other members, --

I will also tell you what I - personally do -
but is not a recommendation by me,
just a personal observation, --

and as a personal tip,

I have tried the rubbing alcohol for cleaning attys, with some success,
but like all of these tips and tricks,
works sometimes, --
not other times -- --
