cleaning triton tank

I did the method running warm water on everything then using a spoon dipping into boiling water. I still have crusted gunk on the bottom wick (The wick that threads that hole)

Is there a way to get rid of that or is it time to replace it? Can you dry burn these triton tanks and if so how?

The best way to rinse them out is to run them under a warm/hot tap and finger squeeze the wicks out. This is after you take off the top cap, then unscrew the coil assembly. You may also let them soak in warm/hot water for a short while. You might use a q-tip through the mouthpiece and the threads of the top of the tank to help remove residue. But the wicks using come clean with just rinsing under a warm/hot tap water at the sink and a little finger twisting or gently squegee of them.
