Cleaning Volt Batts

So I over-filled a carto today, and it dripped out and gooed up my battery with some black nastiness. Its between the batt edge and the post. Its a manual batt, so i am wondering how I can clean it. Do I just pour some rubbing alcohol in the groove between the edge and the battery post? Are they totally sealed or will I ruin my battery?

I just use a toothbrush and scrub mine. Works pretty good so far.

You can clean it with q-tips with alcohol. I get a wooden toothpick and dip it in alcohol and clean the grooves. Make sure to keep your charger clean too.

To add to the information listed above. Your battery isn't ruined since it's a manual and is sealed. Only if you had the automatic battery that you would have to worry about something like that.
