My first foray into Clearomizers was the Fluxomizer Supremes. After some modifications and tweaking they are working very well except for one thing. Once they get below half filled the juice thickens and the coils start poping off little hard bits and don't feed as well. I can get around it by refilling, but the problem gets progressively worse If I don't dump the old thickened juice and do a complete fresh fill regardless of what type of juice I use. Some juices seem more suseptable to the thickening, but all the juices I have do it. Is there a fix like adding a little voda or something?

I don't get hard bits popping off. You actually get physical bits of something in your mouth, or is it just popping/sizzling? Popping/sizzling is normal. Bits of stuff isn't.

I'm on my 5th day using the same clearo, it IS my first one so I don't have much to base an opinion on.

Also, the thickening, I get that too. I didn't notice it at first, but once it hits around 1/3 down juice gets visually thicker. I just keep going till it's around 1/4 full and top it up. From what I've read it's normal.

Again, bits is bad, you should only be getting vapour.

Well, I guess I am the only one who has encountered this issue.

Nope you are not the only one. It even happens inside a normal cartomizer, you just can't see it.
It's perfectly normal, but the darker-sweeter flavors do it more than lighter flavors. That's why we clean clearos every few fills, and chuck cartos when they become plugged.

Thanks for the info. I guess I need to clean more rather than refill or dump the thick stuff and refill. I have found that I can clean the Fluxomizers pretty well with vodka and if I dry the wicks for a couple of days and dry fire the coils a few times briefly they work well again. I dont know how may times I can do that, but it is working for now. Must be cleaning day.

After 3 or 4 top-ups in the Stardusts (never letting it get below half) I'll just dump the remaining 1/2 ml.
of the dark left-over liquid into my "sludge" bottle. A quick rinse with water, shake out, dry off and refill
works good for a few times with no dry-burning.

The "newer" rebuildable Stardusts I've found to be an even quicker and easier unit to clean and dry-burn
as the tube comes off and the short wicks can be dabbed dry with a paper towel, making the dry burn
    process "very" quick and simple.

The larger tanks may mean more waste if you choose to dump out the left-over sludge all the time,
another reason I prefer the smaller Stardusts. Less waste.

I will however Diy the "sludge" by thinning it way down with PG/VG and nic level of my choosing and add
some Vanilla flavour(my ADV) to taste.

EG. If I've got 30ml of sludge, I'll add 60 ml or more of my DIY. Vanilla ADV to it to use it up. Works okay for me
because mainly the sludge is leftover Vanilla joose with slight hues of peach and banana. Two other
flavs. I find work nice with the Vanilla on occasion.

I've never found it necessary to use alcohol or even "hot" water to clean, and I "never ever" wait for the things
to dry on their own. Just 10 or 20 short "primer puffs"(not inhaling and with button pressed) usually has me up and running again in no time.

Good stuff and I sincerely appreciate it.
I have not started mixing my own juice yet so I may try thinning with the alcohol. I will also try the initial cleanings with out dry burning and to see what happens. So far I have had good results with the alcohol and dry burn, but why do more than is necessary. I will also have to try some juices with extra flavor because I still don't get the taste and throat hit I go with my ego-c tanks, but it is great to get away from the leaking and the Cleros travel well which is a blessing when I am driving, working outside, or fishing.
