I made the switch to the x2 batteries and clearomizers this week.
I have also been trying out new flavors.
My question concerns the House Blend from Copper Creek.
I filled a tip about half full (1ml) with the liquid and it was really pleasant. It is a 40/60 pg/vg blend.
Before I had used half of it it turned really thick and was not as pleasant any more.
Is this outcome the result of the higher vg percentage?

I also tried to take the clearomiser apart to clean it. Just like everything else on film; they sure make it look easy.
I guess that will make another thread though.

Interesting results. That House Blend from Copper Creek is one of the juices that has been mentioned as an all time favorite here on ECF and one that I plan to try in the future. I believe it was voted top juice here on ECF for 2011.

I've read that higher VG ratio juices are more difficult to vape using clearomizers or tanks that use wicks. I wonder if using a higher PG ratio mix would have the same results as yours? I have no idea why the juice became unpleasant in taste tho.

EDIT: After responding above, I happened to then watch a SteelJan video reviewing the bottom coil Phoenix clearomizers from GotVapes. http://youtube.com/watch?v=d9-8Rb6RWe4 At about 6:40 she shows what can happen to some e-liquids used in a top coil clearo that have a suspension mix of lighter/heavier substances. As you vape, lighter substances get sucked/vaped into the carto part while the heavier substances tend to not get vaped and collect at the bottom. This appears to be what happened to your House Blend juice.

Reading comments on Copper Creek's ECF forum about House Blend, one reviewer stated that he could only get a couple of refills into his cartomizer before clogging it up. So apparently this juice is thick.

Pure VG is extremely thick. Even a 50/50 mix of pure VG with PG is so thick it won't come out of a drip bottle. It has to be thinned with water or PGA. PG, water and PGA are all "lighter" than VG and wick much easier so they vape off first leaving you with the a higher and higher concentration of pure VG.
I simply add a drop of distilled water to the clearo to re-thin out the juice when it happens. It depends on the flavoring if that's viable or not. Some flavors are also light and get pulled out so the VG sludge that's left has little or no flavor left to it even if you thin it back out. In that case you just have to dump it and refill.

I keep adding a higher pg based liquid to it and mixing it in well. The original amountof the higher vg liquid has barely diminished. It looks like it will take a long while to work its way through.

Hmmm. Hope that works. It might just be that this is a juice best used by dripping on an atty.

Please give us updates, as your success will help me guage whether to try this juice or not.
