I chain vape my protank all day long, but I also rebuild my own coil heads and wick with cotton so YMMV. I generally can't run it much higher than 8-10W though without beginning to develop a burnt taste.

I was able to push my Innokin iClear 30 @2.1Ω all the way to the max (6V / 15W) on my SVD without issue, though I found it did best around 13.5W. I'm not a huge fan of top coils or polycarbonate tanks though, and I found it blew through liquid way too fast for me (though it did put out tons of vapor doing so). I still keep it as a backup, but I prefer my Protank 2.

I believe he's referring to stock heads not rebuilt.

Yes, and to clarify, everything I said about the iClears was in regard to stock coils. The bit about the rebuilt protank coil heads was only there to address the comment about not being able to chain vape with them. I want to point out again that the Protank does not (in my experience, anyway) hold up to higherish wattages like the OP was asking for. I have yet to hear of someone successfully rebuilding iClear coil heads, they're a bit of a pain to get to. One more reason it is relegated to backup status.

But duly noted.

Any suggestions? Around what wattage can the protank 2 take without burning wicks?
The PT3 BDC heads can be pushed really high. I haven't gone over 5v/1.8ohm (12.5w) consistently as it's just too hot to my taste at that point. Vapor production isn't as good as a PT2 head (kanger or smok aro) with a wick removed, but the flavor is better. I keep my PT2 1.8 ohm heads at 3.8-4.0v. You can push 'em a little higher than that without getting burnt hits but you'll start to accumulate more of that sludgey non-desirable liquid in your tank and there really isn't a vapor or flavor benefit in doing so.
