Clearsmoke - is this a good deal?

I did the Clearsmoke free trial. Didn't read the terms and conditions stupidly which I know has got a lot of people but I did cancel today, within the 15 day period. The offered to let me keep the trial pack for £29.95 with 12 free refills. I said no. Then I got the cancellation email offering me the same deal for just £15.95.

I don't mind this e-cig but then it's the first I've tried, although I did try one once when a man had one of those stalls selling them at London Bridge that I was really impressed with - but then I did have the real thing in my hand at the time so this could have influenced the taste perhaps.

I suspect their refills are quite expensive and I'm assuming you can only use their refills? I really am new to this whole e-cig thing and am wanting it at the moment to help me cut down and then to eventually quit.

Do you think that this is a good offer or should I send it back? I do hate companies that are willing to charge you £70 for something but on cancelling, dramatically drop the price.

In my opinion you can get a lot more for your money elsewhere. The cigalikes like clearsmoke and blu are more expensive and usually do not perform anywhere near as well as an similarly as simple ego style set up.

With you being new to vaping I would recommend you look into an ego style battery and a clearomizer of some kind. Your vape and wallet will thank you.

Thank you. I definitely want to give ego a try as a few people on here suggested it last time I posted. My only thought was to just keep this, use the refills and then find another. But I don't know if I'm just going to cost myself extra money by doing this, although saying that, it's only £15 and will probably cost me £5 to send back.

Susan.

STOP IT.

If they are cutting you a "deal" ... take it and RUN. Avoid getting drawn into anything that continues your association with them.

PLEASE. PLEASE. Get out of there.

They are just as bad as the other companies that are just ripping people off. They "say" their refills do 36 cigarettes - that is NOT TRUE.
They charge £10.95 for 5 refills. There are e-cig companies in the UK that will do that for £4.95.... same product...

If they let you keep it with no further commitment on either side for £15.95 (including the 12 refills...) accept it.

I spent £300+ on these stupid products. Don't fall into the trap.

Thanks for this. I think I will keep it but make sure they don't rope me into any monthly refill subscription thing which they do when you sign up to the "free trial"!

Are you sure you aren't getting hit with "If you decide to cancel you can keep the kit. You will be charged our regular price for the kit of £120." That's the way these scams work in the USA if you keep something. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting into if you keep that kit. You entered into a contract, your credit card company isn't a legal advocate that will bail you out when it comes to these contracts.

I sure hope you didn't use a debit card to do this...

Well I just clicked to accept the deal but then it said Charge declined. Please call your bank or use another card so I guess I'll just send it back instead! Their loss!

Be careful. If it was me, I'd still go to the bank. By NOT being able to pay for it, who knows.... it may not be over.

If you're looking for a solid cigalike, I'd recommend the Halo G6. The starter kit with 5 atomizers, two batteries, and a wall + usb charger is only 45ish. There's also a 5% coupon code floating around the net which you can use. I love mine as a travel alternative when I don't want to bring my more expensive mechanical mod on the road.
