For some reason suddenly my carto's are all clogging --- in as little as a couple of hours. I'm sure it's here somewhere, but could you please help me sort this out.

It's happened with more than one brand -- but we'll just talk about Boge 2.0's as that's what I've used the most. One out of the box lasted a week of moderate use. The one before even "went off" in my purse and melted off the wrapper to a distorted state---and yet vaped well for a few more days with No burning taste at all before loosing performance and is now clogged. (Well, it was very full carto when this happened & I sure thought I had experienced a miracle).

Now, suddenly I've 3 in a row that have simply clogged air tubes very quickly --- one was only 2 hours! juice is BWB for the most part---so they are not too thick or sweet. Most of the use has been on the Rev2-1.

What is causing the clog? Is it just solidifying juice? What could I possibly be doing to hasten it's arrival? Any clues?

Thanks.

I have taken ordinary and LR 510 cartos that were fowling up with gunk, and just put them in boiling water for about 45 minutes. The hot water and agitation of the boiling seems to break free most of the crap and cleans out built up residue in the media and wick. Best to do this with plenty of ventilation...

After boiling, I blew and shook them out pretty good to get the majority of the water out, then put them on a ceramic dish and set them in the oven ~200-220F with the convection blower running for about an hour. This dries them out proper and gets them ready for vaping right away when loaded.

I have had similar problems with BWB juices. Particularly Maple Tobacco and Virginia. I have seen others post here as well with Casablanca, the Cappucino flavors etc. I've found the juice to leave a black, "carmelized" residue on heating elements. This has been the case with Joye normal resistance atties, as well as many other brands and types of atties/cartos as well. Most recently, Virginia turned my wicks black and left a huge ball of gunk on a CE2 Clearomizer heating element after just 10 or so drags! I managed to get 2 days of virginia (about 6ml) through a smok-tech dual coil carto (using with a MAP tank) before that got all fouled up.

I -love- BWB flavors, but I've ordered some samples from other vendors. I find that even darker juices from other vendors do not cause the same problem (cocoa chaos, from FSUSA for example leaves no residue like this, and it's DARK brown like chocolate syrup). I'll hold onto my Virginia for when I feel like dripping, but I am thinking it's probably not the best idea for my reo mini or map tank. Not sure why it so readily leaves this crap behind. I'm guessing either the flavor has a lower flash point, or a higher one than the PG/VG mix - meaning it's either burning on the carto (too low) or not turning into vapor and getting left behind (too high).

ditto that for me .. BWB has caused more carto clogging quicker than any other liquid I've used .. but it is tasty ..

I just started another thread with regard to this black tar like crap coming to the top of my carto's after 1-3 fills. This just started happening on the last two orders from BWB malty. I e-mailed them and he doesn't know what's going on either. It's not the pg/vg mix because I have been using it for 6 months + with no problems, this just started recently. It happened on 3 different carto's, bloog, SI, & V4L cool carts.
