odd... how are you twisting your kanthal? myself.. lacking a drill... had a loop around a big pen... stepped on that... and then took another pen or screwdriver and looped the top of the wire around it...and just kept tension while i kept it turning around and around... the twists get much tighter than what i saw... i do a huge strip of it.. and then cut sections for wrapping coils. if they read but wont fire.. i bet you are getting a secure connection around one of the two wires at one of the two posts... this is likely bc the twists aren't as tight as they could be.

Morning, everyone, but a special warm welcome for all the new recruits just entering into the minion family. I was glad to see that new people won the giveaway. I tried to keep my participation in the giveaway thread to a minimum with the hope it would increase the chances for some new folks, but it didn't work that way. My moniker was entered into the randomizer anyway. Nevertheless, I was pleased with the way it turned out.

Yeah, I had one of the 4 prong screwing bits and put one end in and twisted it by hand cause I have a drill but didn't want to wake papa with it, I'll have to try again when I get more wire. Might try the single/continuous wire dual coil build cause the holes aren't big enough to cross them in the middle on the neg post like i do with non-twisted, or maybe get smaller wire like 30g..maybe.. I have to build for kanger coils too and 30 might be better for those though I've had okay results with 28g..I don't know
