Morning everyone! What a great choice of breakfast dishes! It might take me a while to decide so you guys eat up!
It is nicer and cooler here too and we had rain yesterday but I don't mind having more today!
It makes me super sad to hear about the animals in the shelter. Not a good thing :(

Good morning MHM!

Dale, it is always good to see your Sunday breakfasts and quotes... very uplifting. :)

It is indeed sad news to hear about all the areas affected by the flooding... so much loss.

We here in the mid-atlantic are sweltering in 90+ degrees with feel-like temps in the 100+. This has been going on for the past 5 days. If we do get any rain, it lasts about 5-10 min and it gets steamy afterward. I'm sure the mosquitoes love it.

Hopefully, we will get some relief by the end of the week.

Good morning all :)
Oh Angel, that's terrible news about the flooding and those poor animals. The same thing happened at a shelter along one of the Missouri rivers a couple years ago.

There's a lot of hot and wet weather this year.
Then, some places are just hot and bone dry. :(
I agree, the mosquitos love all this hot and wet weather we've had around here. It takes them about 30 seconds to find you when you go out.

Dale, that's a lovely breakfast!!
I'm with Chooch, agreeing with Confucius. :)

I guess bad things happen but I would also think that they could have had a better evacuation plan! When things like that happen it just makes me super sad!
The problem was that the flooding came on so quickly and the place was under water in just a few minutes...they didn't have time to get the animals out...nobody had expected it to get that bad...it's just sad all around.

Good morning, Dale. :) Been sleeping a lot lately and missing out on all the conversation........ Blame the new pillow.

'Morning, Angel, JoAnn, LoriP, Hobbs, Chili, Momma, Kayte. Dry as a bone here still and just too hot and muggy to go out for any length of time. However, yesterday our across the street neighbor's house sitter let out the family's old....old, old mostly blind dog to do her business and now the whole block is looking for her. Couldn't walk far so we're looking under bushes and cars and anything that might be cool underneath. We do have "woods" behind our houses but doubt she could get so far and down hill to boot. Hopefully, she was found by now. Will learn today......... Everybody knew "Robin".

Hey, Dale. :) The pillows (My Pillow) were expensive and gotten at Bed & Bath. Used a 20% off one item coupon. Purchased only one at a time over two day period as we had two coupons. Tried "medium" first. Too squishy for us side sleepers, so returned and got "firm." 10 yr. warranty and returnable if you don't like, washable. Only had since end of last week so jury still out on how they hold up. All other pillows we've used over the years flatten in no time and we wind up using two. :nah:

Haven't heard anything on "Robin" yet. :( Hopefully she's home and in her cool bed.

Good morning mountaineers [emoji2][emoji477]️

Hope everyone is ok. Wasn't able to get on much over the weekend. Long busy days at work. Off for the next two days [emoji2]

Oh no chooch! Hope they can find the doggy. [emoji20] Even old, blind dogs will wander away unfortunately and can get disoriented.

Hope y'all have a great morning.

Good AFTERNOON Mountaineers!

Oh I hope they find Robin soon. It's just awful when a dog wanders away. :(

Chooch, I've been wondering for a while about the "My Pillow". I'm also tired of always replacing pillows after they flatten out. I don't like a very firm pillow but don't want squishy either. It's good to know someone who actually has one. Keep us informed. :)

Well yesterday we had a thunderstorm and downpour for about 30 minutes yesterday. Temps still in the upper 90's but not quite as steamy...

Still haven't heard anything on Robin yet. Both owners work so could have found her last night and they're out on the job today. Will eventually find out.

Will keep informed about My Pillow, JoAnn. Does feel a little "stiff" for my purposes. May switch with hubby 'cause he's had his a couple days more than me and might of squished it down a bit more......sides his shoulders are higher on his side than mine........When did I get so finicky?

Meanwhile, had the old freshly washed pillows outside to air dry and get some of that hot sun the skies decided to unpredictably open up! Got 30 min. of wonderful rain........and me running faster than I have in months! :pThey're now in the dryer and I can make them into head/neck "bolsters."

Hubby got us "my pillows" awhile back. Can't say I was thrilled, but I also didn't give mine a lot of trial and he now has it in his car for when he gets a chance to catch a nap when on the road! It's nice to be able to wash and they do hold up well.

I have a treat to share. :)

I went overboard and way over budget prior to the 8th, and now have these beauties on the way to me.

The first 3 are from my "wish list" and Silver Moonbeams is the one 3 of us bought that day!
