I would like to see this regulator in RL to see what they are doing.

Pure smoke and mirrors after a certain point IMHO.
There is just so much you can do unless you WAY overbuilt it to begin with and this is all marketing/hype.

Will be curious to see what happens in the long run, especially since they need to change their logo which may result in massive legal fees.

Over short distances (a mere few inches) you can get away with much thinner wire than you would need longer distances. Heck, the dna 30 can pull as much as 12 amps from the battery and the manufacturer recommends 20 gauge. Extrapolate that and 14 gauge wiring would handle 48 amps.

As for the circuit board, modern desktop CPUs can dissipate that kind of power, but they do it at lower voltages, meaning even higher currents needing to flow through the board.

So it's entirely feasible to do build a 150W mod, I'm just not sure why the heck anyone would want to vape at 150W. :D

Well, another day bites the dust. Finished waxing the last mod that's finished, so tomorrow I will take some pics to post.

You got that right Jake! I mean, if your going to pump out 150 watts, that would be around 40 amps? Most household wiring carries around 15 - 20 amps. You would need multistrand 10 or 12 guage wire I bet. How in the world could you make a small mod with wiring the diameter of a pencil? And how in hell could a small circuit board handle that much current? I would like to see this regulator in RL to see what they are doing.

Anyhow, I'm outta here. Have a great Wednesday all, arrr

Can't wait till tomorrow!!:banana::banana::banana:

Well they may need an attorney anyway when someone screws up and blows a hand off-- or worse

Bah... puny calculators that don't require 480V 3 phase.
We've gone watercooled in the Enterprise again.

Glycol plumbed 300W mods for 2019 !

Edit: CPU's require massive heatsinks and fans to dissipate that heat, mods... oh who cares, let's use Chinesium that plugs into Windoze to get an upgrade

Couldn't hold out any longer and ordered my caddy :) Not quite as exciting as ordering a new mod, but still pretty excited. Looking forward to it!

Now you just have to fill it up!:D You will love it. Cappys caddies are terrific, just like his mods!;);-)

I think I'm going to market the House Mod! What you do is invite everyone that you know that vapes to your house for a vape party. Then everyone goes to an outlet and pours 30 mls of their favorite e-juice into it. Then we evacuate the house as it goes in flames and breath in. Yea it's an expensive mod and is only good for one use but WTH it will be the vape of a lifetime!! Anyone interested??? :D

I'm kinda bummed about it and I already know that the regulated ones Capt is gonna be selling are gonna be too big for me

I got the impression they were just taller to accommodate the DNA 30 [still waiting for UPS to deliver mine]

Know what you mean though, I have smallish hands and some devices just don't work for me.

You are right, they are just taller or at least my last one was.

I used plain old Elmers wood glue. I think I used Gorilla glue for one of them though. Had to edit my post and get up and look as I can't remember crap these days lol

BWAHAHAHA.
I had to go look too to see what glue I had too.

And use a flashlight to see the print on it.
On the other hand getting old(er) is better than the alternative :)

Thanks. If UPS ever gets here I'll know firsthand.
Their schedule is normally one of:
  • 1030
  • 1430
  • 1630
  • sometime before the following day
