I'm, hopefully, going into the rehab Hospital to learn how to use my bionic knee. I waited all last week for a bed to open up, but that didn't happen. Hence, the use of the word "hopefully"!
I've spent the past few weeks going to outpatient therapy for
two hours a week. The therapists are so busy gossiping with each other and doing paperwork that I probably get their undivided attention for maybe 30 minutes during that week.
At the rehab hospital, I know I will get
three hours a day to really work on what I need to learn. I've been there twice before and I know that they really deliver on their promise of three hours. So, I will be "out of pocket" for a few days.. I'm hoping for at least four days of hard work. I really need it. This new Bionic Knee will do a lot of things for me, if I just know how to use the proper actions to "tell" it what I want for it to do. For example, if I do it just right, it will allow me to go down one step by riding the bionic knee down to where my other leg can support my weight. Otherwise, I have to go down stairs in a "controlled fall"... VERY scary with two artificial legs!!!
See you all soon.. With video, I hope !!
