I think you'll like the ipv2. I have the ipv2s - I think they the same except the s has a few more watts - been running a dripper on it and so far it's been great.

Seen the posts on the other side about wrapping coils - the few I've done so far have had varying results. Have tried a few methods/jig/tools for making them and each had it's pros/cons. A few went to trash, some aren't pretty but worked and a couple were great in looks and function. All were slow in the making. Hoping that changes soon - had seen the kuro coiler but it's pricey - a while back I came across a pre-sale for the master coiler. It's pretty much the same as the kuro but comes with 5 sizes in the set for $12 on the pre-sale. There was a couple delays in shipping but it's on the way and made it to Chicago a couple days ago so I should have it some time next week. The price at the place I got it has went up to about $19 - seen some china places advertising for under $10 the last couple days. Hoping it's good and easy enough that I can wrap a few quick then put away til I need them.
I found a jewelry wire coiling jig on Amazon last night. Comes with a table clamp mount, and 5 different sized crank rods. It was, I think, $8. 4.6 (I think) reviews and most of the reviews were from vape coil builders.
All these fancy coiling tools... I use a paperclip.
Have to YouTube that method for us Count.

I basically use this method, but since I don't have the right size zip ties, I unfolded the outer leg of a standard size paperclip and then wrap around the remaining loop. 5 wraps with 30-gauge gives me 1.8 ohms, while 6 wraps with 28-gauge gives me 1.5 ohms. The oblong shape is also perfect to wick with Japanese cotton since those are already in strips.

If I'm re-building a single-coil head, I use a 2 mm screwdriver; and if I'm building on my SquapeR, I use a 3 mm screwdriver.

OP Copied from Contest Thread:

Hello. Folks
Glassmanoak has finally found a few seconds to maneuver on this dratted tablet to the contest thread. I've been in physical rehab for a week learning to deal with having a second leg amputated.
I need to say that I feel Awesome and have an awesome attitude !!! I have PT three hours a day plus two hours in a hyperbaric chamber to promote healing. The wound itself looks great and the staples are coming out two weeks early which means that I can get my new prosthetic two weeks early !
I'm totally exhausted when my day ends at 4 PM ! But it is a good exhaustion. I feel on top of the world because everything is going my way!!! I will be discharged on Friday so its home to the usual routine except there is going to be a whole lot of exercising going on. Plus the E-liquid shipments and weeks worth of housework.
More later IF I can get back to this location on the drafted tablet..Sherman

So "Glad" to read "Your" update post . . . Totally GREAT to know that things are going So Well . . . AND - YES as others have already mentioned - "You" Sir Are A True Inspiration . . .

Good to hear from you GMO, and glad to hear that you're doing well. Just keep it up!

Mac, I may have missed it... what do you do?

Well, aside from still being in bed and posting from my phone, I'm off to a running start today...

I work IT for the Marine Corps - Mostly mainframe stuff and things that interface with it but have dabbled with other aspects as well. Been doing it since before the term IT (and the likes) existed - used to be known as Data Processing.

GMO - Good to see that you are doing well.

@ "GMO" - Really Good to know "You're" going HOME SOON and with a NEW FAMILY MEMBER Too . . .

Back home and back online for now. I feel so disconnected. Looks like ill be phoneless for a bit longer. Im not loving Sprint's insurance right now. All those monthly insurance payments and they wont replace my phone at a reasonable price. Sad times :(

Agreed!! They wanted $150 to replace the phone :( I'll be looking through my apt to see if i have a old smartphone lying around so that i can at least have something!!

If I may suggest - Speak with a supervisor or manager at the store or call customer service again before doing anything they maybe willing to help "You", especially if you threaten to leave Sprint (and "Your" family) for T-Mobil since they would be willing to purchase "Your" contact if you change over (Info Here: Switch Carriers without Early Termination Fees | No ETF's | T-Mobile) . . . Also - Look at all the Sprint Phones available at Walmart/Kmart/Independent Sellers, usually they are much more reasonable (especially since they have some on sale) and cost effective to purchase as a replacement phone . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

@ "tig" - Glad "You're" back home and safe . . .

@ "EVERYONE" still in NEED . . .

"GOOD VIBES" & "Healing Thoughts"

. . . being sent "Your" Way

BTW: For those using or thinking about getting a VoIP Phone/Service - REMEMBER - They only work if you have Internet and with some "You" cannot reach 911 directly in an EMERGENCY . . . From what I know - when You call 911, the call will go to the provider first to verify your address - that is if you provided it to them for these types of situations, and not to an EMERGENCY Operator directly . . . More importantly, IMO - after being stuck without any phone service at all after a hurricane for 4 weeks - It is so much better to keep a landline no matter what phone service you use . . . Matter of fact, I have a landline for local calls only (NO LONG DISTANCE Carrier selected either, especially to avoid the additional service charge for long distance access that they don't tell you about being charged to your bill anyway) and only pay approximately $20 per month for the security of being able to call 911 and make all the local calls I want without wasting cell phone minutes . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Once again - For all of the 'Tree-Peeps" already gone to bed and those about to go . . .

Hope Ya' have very restful night and pleasant dreams . . .

Sadly I did all the above. They were unable to help me with the replacement since they claim that when a broken phone comes into the store, they have to send it to the insurance to prove/validate any repairs or replacement done. When the phone arrives to the insurance with a broken screen and water damage, the insurance will automatically bill me if they see that the techs didnt already do so.....I tried to threaten to leave, but I still have a year on my contract so they know I'm screwed. Termination fees are more than what they are asking for the replacement/insurance deductible.

As for switching to T-Mobile - I dont get good service/reception from them in the areas that me and my brothers live so I dont have the option to switch to them :(
