It is not only interesting; it is vital.
I'm not....as long as the jury makes the state prove that there is a real victim (hint: a victim is a human being, not the state itself, or a corporate entity). Sadly, when those who are "smart enough" to "get out of" jury duty are out, we are left with folks who will swallow anything the court tells them---like the lie that they don't have the power to judge the Law as well as the "facts".
Just to be clear, I don't have a problem with jury duty. And agree it is a necessary and important part of being a contributing member of society. So I'm a little confused how my comment sparked your response. Just curious
