before everyone goes runnin off...... lets see what we can get together here! Not that folks can't do both by any means. Just don't run off totally and not come back.
OH sweetie .. have no intention of running off. :w00t:
I'm all in for contributing to keep this thread going, or following a new Reo one.
It's just that a place to meet and chat is the goal, so I'm "in" wherever it is .. hopefully here on ECF  .. but at least there is a backup choice out there, if all else fails :(.

I agree the idea is to try and stay together, I honestly don't know what I would do without all of you. Just remember that wherever we end up Rob is invited, he is after all the heart and soul of this forum!

Switching your focus to building guitars is brilliant IMHO.
I know you've got plenty REO stock to keep any and all geared up.
Seeing the writing on the wall is a hard but impressive thing to act upon.
I'd hate to see this place become a ghost town by staying open like other supplier threads that also used to be a hub of activity.
Rob, you sir are a class act.

There may be a solution. Since our fellow Reonauts will no longer be able to enlighten us on daily matters regarding the use and maintenance of our mods, we will have no choice but to go to the source. Rob will be available of course by E-mail to answer questions such as: " Do I push the button before or after I squonk?" and "Can I use AA batteries in my Grand--they're almost the same size and much cheaper" or "I dropped my Woodvil and while reaching for it, I've fallen and I can't get up". Now how could a man like Robert ignore requests like these? We'll all have to take turns coming up with simplistic problems but eventually he'll realize that life was easier when the forum was in place. Ok, ok, ok, its a dirty trick, but we're in a tight spot here.

I sure wish i could find a good ole belly-laughing smilie!!!!

This'll have to do

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

There was a time years ago I was definitely a big help to many people that couldn't quit smoking without a device like a reo . Of course that is not the case any more and lets not forget I am still making mods just not as many

I, for one, and everybody knows that my vote counts:D hope you keep on putting out these AWESOME P67's!!!!

But of course..he's our LeaderCap't.!

I'm sorry, but I'm sitting here crying, I'm feeling the loss of something almost magical .Reoville was the first forum I ever went to and I was welcomed with open loving arms. There were SO many people that were here long before me and i was greeted so warmly and lovingly, many of you guided me along the way with all my silly questions...Karen even went so far as to call me one night when I was having a fit, cuz I just couldn't understand how to use my new Reo simply cuz I couldn't grasp what a no-brainer it is :D and I'd only been in the Reo lounge a couple of days

I was fairly new to vaping and I'd just bought a Reo and was totally confused and scared about the whole thing, but so many of you had so much patience and understanding The Reo lounge was also a fun place to hang out, never mind the fount of valuable info. and advice and encouragement.

I will truly miss my first ecig home and all the people I came to admire and care for.

Hopefully we'll all meet up soon and realize what a special place we had and continue to make Reoville a welcoming spot for the new and the longtime Reonauts.

Cool beans Rob on the Reocaster Enterprise. (Even the name rocks it). I/ we can see this bringing many people great joy (sound familiar?)

Grateful to know that we still have until the 20th to sort out what we are going to do. We've come too far to say goodbye to one another.

Beautiful, thoughtful and funny posts folks. I'm tearing up and smiling, while reading them....

Man, I can't add anything new to what's been said already. Rob, you are the man! I support your decision. I hope we all can find a place to still chat. I'll miss you guys otherwise.
We will find a place! Reoville will always exist!

Reoville for everything REO!
I would rather meet in the Lounge than not have a place for all of us to keep connected! Oldbroad is right! When I got my first REO I didn't know what to do and I gave up temporarily on squonking! Then everyone here helped me and I got another REO! So happy I did but I know I will always need support from the Reoville family!

Very sad news indeed....sob...sob...sob. Will miss all the joy, tears and love shared amongst all you Reonauts here on and off the forum. Bless you Rob and good luck in all your future endeavors. You have earned my utmost respect in all that you do.
For all of you, I haven't been here lately and deeply apologize for that. By far, you have been the most compassionate people I know and please take care of yourselves. Mahalo for being my friends and know that I love you all....ALOHA!

A tele will be one of the first I make but the real challenge will be a feather light flamenco acoustic guitar

These are really interesting biographies of the historic spanish guitar makers from the different "schools" ---looks like a lot of people contributed to this biographical area:
Historic Guitar Makers from Spain

Then, the more modern luthiers, making them today:
Guitar Maker Biographies

It would be neat to go to Spain and visit some of these studios!

I'm sure you will make very fine guitars!

It's been over a year since I signed onto ECF - so long that I had forgotten my password. But I had to come back and log in and thank you Rob for the wonderful mods and the wonderful memories, after Karen posted on the Reonauts Facebook page about this. I still have three woodvil REOS and haven't kept up with what's new (need to do that soon). This is certainly a very sad day.

First of all, Thank you Rob for the best mod I own, and the only mod I use. Its good to know that you are going to continue to produce mods and offer spare parts, even if this is at a smaller volume.

I hope that you enjoy your semi retirement. 20,000 mods is a lot and you have helped many people stay off the cigarettes. Put your feet up, play guitar, feed your porkies and enjoy life.

Although I do not post often, I usually log on a couple of times a day to check out whats going on, I have had some great advice from people on here so thank you every one else.

It has been one of the few area's on this forum that I have felt comfortable asking questions and also expressing an opinion without fear of being flamed. In most of the other sections a great deal of the threads end up in petty point scoring, and sometimes down right rude posts.

I hope that in it's new home reoville can continue to offer advice and support to newer users, that the threads continue to be a civil and well mannered and also push some sales in Rob's direction.
