Cloth Wicks...

Ok, I think I'm going to stray from SS wick on my IGO-L and give cloth wicks a try. (I love the IGO-L set up with SS but it is a pain in the .... to do right.)

Where are you guys n gals getting your silica and cotton from?

My IGO-L has been digging yarn and cotton rounds so far.

Cotton rounds from Dollar General.

I picked up this yarn:
Amazon.com: Lion Brand Yarn 480-098H Nature's Choice Organic Cotton Yarn, Almond: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

But others are having great results with the Peaches and Cream brand yarn (available at walmart for like a dollar).

With the yarn I got, there is some strong cotton threads weaved through to make it keep that lovely shape. Once you pull that out, it's much more fluffy and works fantastic.

Just be sure the candle wicks are 100% cotton; some candle wicks have wire in them to make them stiffer.
