Very nice....well done!....If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost in materials, time to build? Overall dimensions?....Not looking to build my own just curious and pictures never really depict the actual size.
Thanks! just for the wood materials it cost me just under 15 bucks. I probably spent another 20 in wood stain, laquer, glue, and misc others stuff to build it. I had all the tools, the red felt, and velcro laying around. The box I bought from Hobby Lobby for like 7 dollars, i bought the other craft wood from there to build the box insert and bottom sections of the box seperate.
other than that it was really easy to put together. I always gave about 24 hours for the stain to fully dry before i put the clear coat on and then another maybe five hours for that to dry. Basically just following the directions on the stain and clearcoat containers.
Probably took me about 3 days from start to finish working here and there. Not including the stain and clearcoat setting time. It really only took me about 3 hours to put everything together and sand down the rough edges.
Would probably be faster now that i know what im doing. "There was a little bit of trial and error in there"
Here's a picture of the bare box and some of the extra wood i used. I have enugh extra wood to do another one. Plus plenty of stain, clear coat and glue to last me a few more projects
Dimensions are: 10 3/4" Wide by 3 1/3" Tall and 7" deep
