Cloudy FA Mellow Sunset with residue on the inside of the bottle?

Sooo...I just received some FA flavoring I ordered and most look fresh, but the Mellow Sunset flavor is cloudy and has some yellow residue on the inside of the bottle. It looks funky, especially considering how clear all my other FA flavors are.

I wrote the supplier I purchased from and they told me it was fine and all I needed to do was shake it well. I shook like hell and the yellow residue did not mix in and still cloudy.

Trash it or use it?

I'm thinking I'll be pouring it down the drain unless yooz "indaknow" peepelz tell me otherwise.

Mine was like that too, I mixed it 50/50 with PG for ease of use and it is fine. No problems, the TA also leaves a residue in the bottle.

Trash it. My mellow sunset from FA is clear.

Strange that a flavour called 'sunset' would be clear? Mine is yellow and it's fine.
Maybe the OP should ask in the Liberty Flights forum on here as they sell MSunset.

It really does look strange, so I'm gonna' trash it!

Good call IMO I don't recommend anything I would not personally do. For $3, it is just not worth it.

Luckily, it was a wee 6ml bottle, as opposed to the 30ml bottles of the normal looking flavors I purchased.

FWIW I just dumped a 500ml of PG I got from a pharmacy/pharmacist that was making me sick. It took a while to narrow down the culprit, but I just don't take any chances.

The Mellow Sunset I have from FA is cloudy pale yellow, as is the Citrus Mix for example. They are fine, and I've ordered the Citrus Mix directly before and it was cloudy both times. Sometimes the cloudy particles can sink to the bottom so I always shake before putting it into a smaller bottle, otherwise the clear part might be the only thing you get so it would be lacking some of the flavor. That might be what happened to you, Switched, unless FA has changed their recipe or something.

I got my MS from Happy Vaper around Mar or Apr of this year. It was ordered as FA and yes it was pale yellow, but no residue but I wouldn't call it cloudy perse. On that note, I wouldn't call it clear neither but definitely no residue, same with my citrus mix.

Ah, so I think we are seeing the same thing but describing it differently! If it is not transparent I tend to call it cloudy. As for the residue, I just thought it settled at the bottom.

Perhaps you could pour out the non-residue and then mix the residue with PG and see what happens. Or maybe heat it and shake to see if the residue is just precipitated flavoring? You might still throw it out even if you can isolate the residue, but you can have some fun with it first.

Thanks, Nikhil. I think I'll be ordering it from you next time. I also want to try some of the other FA tobaccos. Considering how little it takes, the small bottles should last quite awhile.

... just to bring things in perspective. A 3ml bottle will only flavour 30ml at 10%

I just tried the oRYental 4 at 2% and it was plenty strong! Is the Mellow Sunset less potent?

Dunno I mix at between 12 and 14%. the true flavour IMO only starts to come out at 6% and starts to shine at 8%
