Hey Shek, have you decided if you were going to order batteries or not? I've been reading a lot on people's devices exploding and causing injury, I don't want to risk using something with those possibilities, I'd be interested if you're going to go with something of high quality.

If you've found a thread showing where an LT has failed and shorted out a battery that has exploded, post it!!

And I've stated this fact before, in this thread. If you abuse ANY lithium battery (IMR, ICR, IFR, LiPO, whatever) and you don't handle them with care, it WILL fail!

So my best advise is to educate yourself on battery safety and DON'T do stupid freakin' things with your devises, like put them in your pocket with an atomizer or cartomizer attached to it and a battery inside of it, cuz you're just asking for trouble.

Batteries fail and cause injury because stupid people do stupid things with their devises and like to put the blame on their battery. It ain't the battery....it's the user!

I've been running my Wife's lavatube with a 5 volt NiHi battery since Christmas, and I think personally, it lasts longer. And all of her body parts are still attached.

When Vendors claim that only use protected high drain batteries, is just another greedy marketing scam IMO.

Think you mean IMR high drain batteries, which don't have a protection circuit. ;)

And yes, I agree...there are other SAFE options, including the 4.8V NiMH stacked cells!

Which battery is a 4.8 & when stacked what does it put out?
Could 2 of these replace an 18650?
Will it last as long as a High Drain?
